I shouldn't be surprised by Dick Cheney's secrecy anymore, but I still am.

The article says he has consistently refused to disclose not only his staffers' salaries, but even WHO HIS STAFFERS ARE. He may not be required to do so, but it certainly seems contrary to the American democratic ideal of openness in government.

Dick Cheney is simply anti-American, as is his chief of staff David Addington, who has spent the last six years justifying Cheney's secrecy (among other anti-American policies).

I wonder how much they make for.. say.. deleting a few hundred million emails. Or shredding documents.

Or do they make that after they leave public service when they're hired by the companies they're protecting?

Whatever they make, they sure aren't earning it.

I used to have a quote here from Andre Breton, author of several surrealist works.
