"Who can you thank for rising prices at the pump?" the announcer in the ad asks as a still-shot of Mr. Obama fills the screen and an unseen crowd chants, "Obama! Obama!" Subtle? Not so much.

Honestly. How stupid do McCain's strategists think Americans are?

The ad uses McCain's discredited ideas of a summer gas-tax holiday and offshore drilling (which Bush's Dept. of Energy determined last year would NOT affect gas prices) to argue against Obama.

The ad says drilling for more oil would bring more energy, though it's clear that fossil fuels are limited resources and that renewable sources must be found to truly solve our energy problems.

70%of America wants to drill. Drilling not only will bring down the price of oil, it will make us less oil dependent of other countries. That is what America wants.

China and Cuba will be sucking out the oil that we should be getting for ourselves off the shore of Florida very soon.

Obama's answer to the problem is MORE TAXES which will just be passed down to you and me at the pump. How stupid is that?

If Obama insists on not drilling off shore then he surely is burnt toast.

70% of America is wrong. Drilling won't bring down the price of oil, according to the Department of Energy's 2007 analysis:

        http://www.eia.doe.gov/oiaf/aeo/otheranalysis/o...

This analysis was done by the Bush administration's Dept. of Energy. It says:

"Because oil prices are determined on the international market, however, any impact on average wellhead prices is expected to be insignificant."

        The analysis also says:

"...access to the Pacific, Atlantic, and eastern Gulf regions would not have a significant impact on domestic crude oil and natural gas production or prices before 2030. Leasing would begin no sooner than 2012, and production would not be expected to start before 2017."

That is total BS. Just by the plan of drilling will bring down prices very quickly when the Arabs realize that soon they will be drinking their oil.

Weather you think America is wrong or right does no good for Obama's plan because Americans will be voting in November and drilling is what 70% want. We don't want to be taxed more for our gas. We pay too much as it is.

Obama said about the gas price going up that he was "just upset that it went up so fast", not that it went up. He wants high prices at the pumps and his plan assures it.

Did you read the Dept. of Energy analysis? Do you know the oil market better than the Department of Energy? Do you understand how much oil is actually out there? Where do you get your information that planning to drill will bring down prices?

PLEASE. READ THE LINK I GAVE YOU to a DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY REPORT entitled, "Impacts of Increased Access to Oil and Natural Gas Resources in the Lower 48 Federal Outer Continental Shelf.".

I'm not making this stuff up.

Did you give me a link to any credible evidence that Obama would raise taxes on you? No. Do you have any link to Obama saying he was only upset that gas prices went up so fast? No.
