The erosion of our freedoms and the failure of the press to meet the challenges characterized by JFK's warnings delivered at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel forty-seven years ago is the real shock and awe that too many of us are ignoring. I hope, at least, in some small way this video may sensitize people and bring awareness to the critical condition that journalism is currently undergoing in America today.

it is important to protest the agenda implemented by AIPAC and the Bilderbergs. Detention camps have been set up in remote areas of states like the Dakotas. Smart cards are coming with tracking chips. Next step will be implanting chips in human beings.

The press has surrendered it responsibilities to the corrupt U.S. administration. Too much power in the hands of the few.

      A very timely piece, Spadecaller.

I cannot think of even one danger that threatens our

nation today, that could not have been minimized if

our press had been doing their job.

They have been shirking their responsibilty to the

majority of us, in favor of pleasing corporate interests.

As a people, we have a hunger for news - everything from the

environment to foreign affairs, from politics to science

and the arts - but we have been presented with some one

else's agenda, served up as unbiased news. We are now

on the brink - not knowing the truth and almost unable

      to discern fact from fiction.

Far be it from me to ever again criticize a foreign

society gone mad and tsk-tsk as to how they could ALLOW

that to happen. That step-by-step process is taking place

      right here and right now.

Excellant. What can I say that JFK didn't and I particularly liked the graphic of the pyramid on the dollar bill.

Sadly though it seems many Americans are willing to give up little freedoms here and there because it seems to be in the interests of us at the time. But if you keep eroding a rock a little at a time what are you left with in the end?

And a great step forward would be if this comment posts :)

More voices silenced. Fits very nicely with Spade's piece, which was very well done.

                Yes Realizer,

This is a crisis beyond the scope of everyday problems. Losing our "fourth" branch of government has left our nation vulnerable to all kinds of abuse - much of what we are beginning to see on a regular basis, and without any serious attempts by Congress to really address it.

                  Thanks Will,

Whatever it is... Bush has a lot too hide and has broken laws. He has gone to great lengths to pass retroactive legislation to legalize laws, which were broken. The unmitigatged arrogance to have an imperial president think that he can legislate in order to protect his illegal conduct. The worst part is that Congress stood by and the press did little but fan the flames.

The funny thing is Bush can not make laws. Only Congress can make laws. All Bush can do is stop a law and congress can override that if they wish.

If you think the day of Kennedy, the 60's, were the good old days, you weren't there. Kids getting Drafted and forced to go off to war in Vietnam is not my idea of good times.

Today is the Good Old Days. Maybe someday you will figure that out.

Yeah, Kennedy the Great Socialist, was good about making statements he didn't believe in. His life was full of Secrets.

That does not mean I don't agree with this statement, but not the messenger. Nothing intrudes into you life like the Government in control of your education, and health care.

Another Socialist conspiracy eh?? Is that why he fought Castro

(a Communist) and opposed the Soviet SOCIALIST Republic??

You don't like him because he opposed the greedy US military complex and big oil and wouldn't buy into Commie fear mongering..The same guys that are killing us now, but instead of Commies it's Al Quaida..Haven't you learned anything,

or are you one of those people that JFK was talking about who refuses to correct an error.. Is everything going just wonderfully for you under this Bush regime??

Join the real world for a day, won't you?

There is no explanation, unless they are bigots, or pro-oil,

or against people having faith in their leadership.

Thank you SC. JFK was a wise man and his message reflects events that are happening so many decades later. Very few have the ability to have that foresight, he was one of them. It was nice to hear his voice. Very well put together, the message is loud and clear, about the responsibility of the media, and most especially about the dangers of secrecy and secret societies in Govt.
