Much like the late Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, I do not think we should be tinkering with the machinery of death. In a civilized society, government has other mechanisms for dealing with the outcasts of society who are corrupted beyond any help. For these lost souls, rather than killing them, let them stay in jail for the protection of society.
Frankly, that is the pro-life mentality, no? Why is it many claim to be pro-life, yet are the first to back the death penalty?
