Yep, the liberal democrats want oil prices to go higher. Did anyone catch what Obama said about the price of gas? He said, "I wish the gas prices would have risen slower." Liberal democrats want oil to be so expensive that people will stop using it and demand alternative fuels. The problem with alternative fuels is they are there to use except ethanol and now because of using food for fuel people are starving and going hungry all over the world. Yeah, the liberal, lefty democrats sure care a lot about poor people.

Absolutely right, Wolfie, and did you hear the latest from CA? Arnold and the Dems say NO WAY to offshore oil drilling!
As a conservative, I say "That's great news!" The Liberalator and the Marxists who run CA are sowing the seeds of their own political destruction! They really believe that people will care more about their eco-radicalism, than about their own pocketbooks - BIG MISTAKE!
Certainly, Arnold's position is a safe one to take in Malibu, where all his rich friends not only abhore the idea of looking out and seeing platforms in the distance (it's ironic that there are quite a few legacy platforms off of Santa Barbara, the richest large town in the state, and it sure hasn't hurt that town's tourism), but don't even NOTICE paying $5 a gallon for gasoline; let's face it, most of them have NEVER even been to a gas station-they send their chauffeurs.

But the fact is that the VAST MAJORITY of Californians not only CAN'T afford an ocean view from their homes, but they can't afford $5 gas either, and when it's quite clear that Arnold and the Dems don't CARE about helping them out, the people will REVOLT!
This election will be FASCINATING TO WATCH!

Here's the biggest laugher of all, I believe:
Our enemies in OPEC, the Wahabi Saudis, Chavez, Putin, Ahmadinejad, Calderon of Mexico, etc. are driving up the price of oil by limiting production PRECISELY BECAUSE, I believe, they want the party of GW Bush, whom they hate with a passion, to be defeated. I have no doubt that this price rise is a direct attempt to influence the US election, as these countries believe that the outcome will directly affect them; they want an internationalist, an accomodationist, an APPEASER, like Clinton, in the White House, and believe they will get that with a Democrat, no doubt.
The HUGELY IRONIC part is that it appears that their plan will horribly BACKFIRE! They will create such a wave of fear and revulsion at the eco-wacko policies of the GREEN/MARXIST Democrats that this election could just sweep into power a huge wave of conservative, pro-oil development, pro-capitalism and PRO-AMERICAN Republicans!
