      Of course, the real question would be, how many years could Americans drive on the fuel used up by Bush, Rice and Cheney on their various dick-waving tours and "surprise visits" to places they have no business being in the first place... Then we'll just look the other way concerning a motorcade of a dozen or more Escalades every time he goes to his dump in Crawford to clear brush and take pictures... and accompany him everywhere he goes, so I'd say any environmental friendliness his home enjoys is pretty much completely destroyed by his activities while he's there.

      Seems ol' Al may not actually be all that big of a deal.

        Al is that big of a deal. Your comparison to a presidential motorcade is completely off base and not at all surprising.

        I'm sure Al justifies his use by purchasing "carbon offsets" from his own private company. What a scam.

  I really wish Al Gore would stop trying to be the face of energy conservation. I believe we should cut back where we can, and that a few changes can greatly improve not only our lives, but the health of the planet. But Al Gore takes it to such ridiculous extremes, and he is such a hypocritical bufoon. He makes people ignore ideas and suggestions that they might have considered had they not seen him as the frontman, thus discrediting anything associated with him.
