This is a compelling, first person account of what daily life must be like in Iraq.
I see that some of my bretheren from the right are on here discreditin the story or otherwise, wisecrackin it away.
You have to understand why we Christian Conservatives do that. We do it because when we rejected the teachins of Jesus, we became morally vacant. For us, the war in Iraq is a simple exercise in public policy ... liek pavin streets.
Of course, since we are Conservatives ... with a deep resentment of goverment, we aint very good at war ... actually, we aint very good at pavin streets either.
But thats okay to us Christian Conservatives ... we aint so much bout good goverment or effective administration of ANYthing. We just want to diminish the importance of the whole ding dang seculirist goverment and be done with it.
Amen

Who's we, ningyo? Why should I care about what you believe? Give me one compelling reason.

You have no heart, and I'm certain it would take quite a while to find your brain..
Go look for your brain in Iraq, then you can tell us what's really happening. You can enlighten us even more than you have
in the past.

"do we really have a good reason to believe this obviously biased blog--kind of like all the winter soldier fairy tales--at least ,for once ,he didnt claim the marauding monsters were US troops "
When a US Soldier was recently arrested for being AWOL, the reason he gave was that he was sick and tired of having (as a press officer) to edit all of his reports and photographs to make the US soldiers look good when on a daily basis he was exposed to, taking pictures of and wanting to report on horrors perpetrated by US troops against Iraqis.
If you can't believe this dentist, you can certainly count on a US Soldier, right?

For all we know, it was a figment of YOUR imagination. It's not like you provided any proof of it - which you so hypocritically demand of others.
I've seen too many like you fall for fake crap on here ... Fox 5 news "subliminals," some Pakistani BS fake story slanted against the U.S., dental blogs about marauding Turks shooting Iraqis for sport (I notice the alleged dentist didn't say they were Iraqi Kurds, which is the demographic with which Turks have been quarreling).

Fairy tales?!! Tell me 'bout the rabbits again, George.
What I find the most despicable is when someone denigrates a witness's account because they don't like the story. You are no patriot ningyo. You are a barnacle on the butt of the elephant. Stuff your peanuts!

"It's Istanbul, not Constantinople... now,why did the Kurdish get the works? It's nobody's business but the Turks!"
_Traditional (variation).
The fact remains that Iraq has been made a hostile and deadly place because of the collapse wrought by the U S invasion. The occupation has created a shooting gallery, with many innocents caught in the crossfire. For those that would call the insurrection unpatriotic of the Iraqi's. What would your teenaged children be doing if the U S were occupied? Annie get yer gun!

How odd that the lone AG drone derides the blogger as not creditable YET it seems we invaded a country based on the propaganda fed from an Iraqi whom the Iraqis said wasnt creditable or trustworthy. Oh yeah I forgot his story supported the conclusion that the Dumya wanted.

The success story from 1847 days since Mission Accomplished! Why does ANYBODY listen to such an obvious pathological liar as Bush anymore? If he ever says anything that is true, it is pure coincidence.

i'm a 25 years old dentist i live in iraq (Baghdad) i was born and raised here but unfortunately i'm thinking that the iraqis are going to extinct so i made this blog wishing that i can make a difference or even share my greif with the whole world and give them an idea about what's happening here from the point of view of a civilian living in the war zone not from the politicians nor people who gets their benefits from the conditions.

I can't find anything on this story on the net. This seems a bit strange to me. Since the media always covers blood flowing in the streets of the market when it sadly happens.
One other interesting observation, this Iraqi writes English better than most people here on this blog.

Hey I understand Joey, I was just making a point so others would look closer. I still haven't seen anything on this story for some reason. Seeing how the media jumps on these sorts of things in the past and with the election close, I'd think they'd be very interested in a negative story out of Iraq, wouldn't you?

For the record. I have submitted some of this authors blogs in the past. He is not in my opinion anti-U.S. in his views. Actually in his earlier blogs he attacked the principles of Sadr and the Al-Mahdi militia. He's an Iraqi patriot. He relates what he sees going on in his own country. If you have the time read through all of his blogs. Then judge for yourself whether you think he's a phony. I've heard this many times from many people, but this doctor keeps right on blogging and no one to date has been able to prove fraud in any way. If you can please point me to the evidence. I am open to discussion.
