Do No Evil – On the day it was announced that Sen. Ted Kennedy had been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, radio host Michael Savage opened his show by interspersing audio of Kennedy singing with clips of news reporters discussing Kennedy's diagnosis and audio from Kindergarten Cop in which Arnold Schwarzenegger's character says, "It's not a tumor.
Savage is a jerk. However, so is Kennedy. Then again so am I so I guess I'll leave it at that. Good luck with your treatment Teddy.
He gets many things right. He just presents ideas in a blunt, undiplomatic way. I think he intends to make his remarks more dramatic for comedic effect.
He gets EVERYTHING Right, Droppy.
In fact, thats the ONLY way he sees stuff. From a Right Wing Perspective.
And not just your everyday, run of the mill, 'Ima Fiscal, Social Conservative' kinda way ... NOPE!
Savage portrays everything, frames everything in a hyperbolic, life and death, "We Conservatives gotta save the nation" kinda way that ... while patently insane ... is GREAT for generating ratings ... and 'Dumbing Down' the listeners to his show.
Well ... the listeners of his show got to be somewhat dumb to start with. Its the base audience.
Sane folks dont listen to stuff liek that. The live life.
Hey douchebag, read wtf I typed. I never came to his defense. In fact, I called him a jerk.
I just hope for your sake you were not one of the libs who said anything bad about the attempted attack on Cheney. The death of Rev. Graham. Or any other conservative that has died or been hospitalized.
Ted Kennedy works hard to get things right. That's acknowledged by both sides. He doesn't need this from Michael Savage. Talk radio is almost all drivel. However, it causes great damage because too many people are gullible enough to put too much stock into it.
Wikipedia says that Mary Jo Kopechne died in a car accident. Isn't that like saying JFK died ina car accident? Or that RFK died in a kitchen accident.
Mary Jo had broken her nails clawing at the carpet of an upside down automobile with an air pocket that allowed her to die a slow terrorizing death. Teddy waited 10 hours to tell the police. You or I would have gone to prison but the people of the great Commonwealth of Massachusettes made him a life long Senator.
Well, I dont know if thats criminal or not. If I was in an accident ... I dont know WAHT my presence of mind would be.
But I hear ya!
We gotta hold folks accountable.
Liek maybe we Christian Conservatives should hold GW accountable for bein a draft dodger, lyin to start war, abusin drugs (for a long tiem).
Gw was even in a alcohol induced accident!
Not only that, but in his office ... he let it be knowed that Valerie Plame was an undercover CIA ... and THATS a TREASONABLE OFFENSE!!
---
But thanks for carryin the torch for Mary Jo ... I wisht somebody would carry the torch for the 4,000 plus American soldiers who died on accounta GW's lies.

All of the people trashing Savage for taking shots at Kennedy didn't have a problem with taking similar shots at Jerry Fallwell when he died.
I hope that Kennedy makes a full recovery. But the hypocrisy of this board is nauseating.
Stephen
I had forgotten about that but it wasn't right when they said the hateful things they did about Rev Falwell. We are better than that and I won't stoop to the low tactics the liberals employ. Michael Savage is a jerk and most conservatives I know don't listen to him.
Good luck with your treatment Sen. Kennedy.
Many of the same pompous Nutscape libs who are - justifiably - outraged by Savage's comments were dancing on Falwell's grave when he died. They can take their silly attempt to tar and feather all conservatives by the words of a loose cannon like Savage and stick it where the sun don't shine - after they pull their heads out to make room first, of course.
Stephen Johnson---"Many of the same pompous Nutscape libs who are - justifiably - outraged by Savage's comments were dancing on Falwell's grave when he died"
Instead of blathering about it, name a few and call them out. Who were they?
"How is that any different than your comment above hypocrite!"

Look who's talking
Apparently JQ Tessy and MiKKit thinks it's ok to talk trash about a right winger but their Ted is off limits. The last time someone from the right died in a very nasty thread filled with hate, I predicted that someone on the left would fall ill or die and asked if they left would be willing to have their person spoke of in such manner.
I dislike anyone that talks ill of the sick or the freshly dead, and MS should be shamed for doing that. However, both sides could use more discretion with the said topic, can we not agree?

and people wonder why I refer to talk radio as nothing more than 'Hate'.
Mediamatters is bankrolled by George Soros...as long as you use an unbiased site as evidence. Did you actually hear his show yesterday?
That said, I wish no ill will on the man, but he's been a malignant tumor to this country since 1962. The all-wise and knowing MA voters will put another loser up to replace him.
His alleged comments remind me of a typical day at Kos or DemocraticUnderground.
Let's hear it for Dead Ted Kennedy...Alcoholic, murderer, Lib!
Double post
My mistake, I thought it was Chris Matthews.
Figures that you would confuse things coward! You send me personal messages calling me derogatory names and then block me so that you won't have to read the replies. What a f*cking coward! No balls at all!
Now I want you to remember the eloquent things I said in the first Kennedy thread before you freak on me here.
What upsets me the most is the false indignation by the left, after all the nasty things you on this very site said about conservatives that died over the last 12 months? Even saying things like 'who cares if someone just died I can say what I want'. It's no big deal, I know I don't post threads and don't contribute much to the site other than being a straw man but I just wanted to point that out to those that will act like this is the first time anyone said something unkind.
