The words and thought American Gestapo come to mind. If as an American tax paying citizen I do not have the right to disagree with our politicians. Then this is not America any more.
If we are to be subject to a controlling heirarchy such as a dictatorship. We have lost the America many fought and died for.
Good job Bush. Why are you so afraid of the common man? We have to work hard just to make a lousy living. While you try to exploit every drop of sweat and tears from the good people of this nation.
Believe me I have God who has my back. After reading this I'm even more glad of it.

Bush? You seem to have forgotten World War I and World War II, when Japanese, Italian and German Americans were rounded up and thrown in concentration camps and shipped overseas. The old memory getting a lil hazy, gramps?
Too bad they couldn't have rounded up the 9/11 terrorists before they pulled off a second attack on U.S. soil. Fortunately, there hasn't been another.

You know, it might just be a bit DIFFICULT to "round up" the 9/11 terrorists (the hijackers), since all but one are DEAD.
Plus, I don't see or hear you asking BUSH why HE has not captured Bin Laden a LONG time ago. Bush is NOT even LOOKING for him, and he IS the one behind the 9/11 attacks.
So, you think that it was RIGHT for our country to lock up people who had done NOTHING just because they "looked" or "sounded" Japanese or German or Italian?
As I said on another thread, THANK GOD you are not in ANY position of power for running this country.
Locking up innocent suspects for indefinite periods of time with no rights whatsoever is apparently just fine with you ... until YOU are the one that is "rounded up".

Fortunately a giant meteor hasn't crashed into the earth, either.
Bush has as much to do with that as with preventing any further attacks.

According to a senior government official (unnamed source? Not good)
who served with high-level security clearances in five administrations, (unnamed source with accolades! This is getting deep)
"There exists a database of Americans, who, often for the slightest and most trivial reason, are considered unfriendly, and who, in a time of panic, might be incarcerated.
Ah that would be the "Secret list" that the unnamed source with accolades is talking about?
"The database can identify and locate perceived 'enemies of the state' almost instantaneously." "
Identify AND Locate? Will doubling up the tin foil block the locator chip?
He and other sources tell Radar that the database is sometimes referred to by the code name Main Core.
That would be He "the unnamed source with accolades" and another unnamed source?
Wait I know they work for that ultra Secret group know only by their initials?
G.U.L.L.I.B.L.E.

Scary! This country is suppose to be the land of the Free and a Democratic country!
I believe that this is more about control over the working population, than anything else! "Sixteen Tons What do ya get, another day older and deeper in debt."
Thanks Mark!

j. edgar hoover had a list. nixon had a list. even TSA has over a million names on it's "danger" list. it's foolish to imagine this bunch doesn't also have a list.
they're just waiting for an excuse to use it, but if they do, there will be no turning back. for that reason, i think they are many years away from enacting it.

Don't bet the farm on it. With their thirst for power, I wouldn't put anything past these puckered end of a colon. Nor do I have the slightest doubt that my name is on that list which is why should anything happen, I will not be where they think I am.

There is a mass hysteria encompassing the nation ... a product of the hate filled rhetoric from the left. It's ugly.

You are surely joking. The rhetoric from the neoloons is downright hateful. If you are not right of the John Birchers you are a liberal. Which by the way is not a bad thing. I'd rather be a free thinking liberal with the ability to look outside of the lies. Than to be a rigid goosestepping fascist. But hey some people still think Hitler had the right idea right?
I will never follow a party line not Republican, nor Democrat as both parties are messed up. But I will side with party who is more for freedom of speech and expression the Democrats before the I would even consider the neoloons.
The hate I see from posters like dropkickalib,ani,libsR,... what is that. Just the good people trying to get us to follow their evil.
Look from what I've seen there are decent people in both parties and there are hateful ones. When I'm attacked I will fight back. You want to work together to make this country bettter it is going to take both parties to overcome the current evil.

Do you agree there is a mass hysteria. Do you believe there is an irrational fear of everything in the air?
It's not just a question of disagreement of policies ... it is hate filled rhetoric by anonymous posters expressing venom that I don't think they would use in personal conversations.
I read the doom and gloom here every day. It's exhausting and yet I leave the house, activity level is high, restaurants are full, roads are full, stores are full, life goes on.
We've literally talked ourselves into being a country of scaredy cats that are afraid of everything.
It's ugly to me.

Screw them and their "list". If the country goes into a panic like envisioned by the hyper-paranoid government they'd better make sure my microchip is implanted nice and deep, because I'll be off the grid so fast it'll make their head spin. I may be a namby-pamby, bleeding heart Liberal, but I'm a very heavily armed namby-pamby, bleeding heart Liberal.
So, as I said, bring it on, bitches!!!

my mother grew up in Nazi Germany and she remembers well people who disappeared and some were her family too. They died for speaking out against Hitler. She today says that the same thing is going to happen here because all of the signs are there. The same government "protection of citizens" etc. But today they do not need the people to follow you because you cannot go anywhere that does not have survelliance. At least in the cities.

Don't be so sure. If you p-o'd someone with the authority to put a name on a list, you could well be on it. Personal vendettas, rather than real threats, are often the source of names. Look at the "intelligence" provided by locals in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Every computer, cell phone and new TV has a mike on it that can send or recieve. Every phone has been tapped by super computer programs. You don't think you are on a list. You must live in a hole.

Has anyone ever read C.S.Lewis's 'That Hideous Strength'?
The main character assumes it is the un-educated that are easiest to control with propoganda.
But he is hired to WRITE it; and he finds it the other way around; the un-educated distrust the papers and tv; the educated believe it, as long as it is in a paper or program they approve of.

Are all of you so stupid that you didn't (at least) strongly suspect this sort of thing? Of course the government has plans for martial law in the event of...whatever they feel like. They have for decades if not since 1776.
Were you all also "shocked" at 911? Did you not know that people hated the US and wanted to do us harm?
What is wrong with people that they are so ignorant not to realize this sort of thing HAS to be already in place? If the US were invaded, or hit with a nuke, or hit by a pandemic or something you'd be screaming that the government wasn't prepared if they didn't have some sort of plan to deal with massive emergencies...

Do you really believe Bush is going to leave the White House on good terms after he and Cheney have committed hundreds of War Crimes? Do you realy think he is going to relinquish power after making thousands of presidential directives bolstering his unitary presidency?
I hope I'm wrong. I hope this country gets its' democracy back. I am not holding my breath.
