Do No Evil – I only posted this article because it is such despicable propaganda. America ordered the Yemenis to frame their own people for the American/Israeli attack on the USS Cole, and they refused to cooperate. How dare they! Don't they know its anti-Semitism not to blame Arabs?
The hull plating bent inwards and outwards, but I admit the precludes an internal explosion. It must have been caused by a shaped charge, and the back blast bent some of the hull plating outwards.

FYI - Shaped charge directs it's entire force in ONE direction... Backblast would be negligable (given the size required to create that hole, NOTHING solid would be within backblast distance - Ask a demolitions expert).

I reexamined the hole, and I may have been too quick to believe theories that it was caused by a shaped charge or an internal blast, but it definitely was not caused by a boat between the ship and the refueling dock. Even if the port side was facing the refueling dock, it would not have caused as much damage. Perhaps, it was a mine.

Neocons always say the Muslims always blame Israel for everything happening in the Middle East and Muslims suffering in the other part of the world today, for instance Indonesia and Somalia. The truth is Israel is the problem, without the country called Israel the Americans or the West will have no problem with Muslims. Dismantling Israel will relieve the world of so many problem, especially the so called terrorist problem. So war on terror should be directed against Israel not against innocent Palestinians and the other neighboring countries, they have the right to defend and liberate their land from occupiers and oppressors.
Daylight, since you do not feel that Israel has a right to live in the land the UN gave to them in 1948 or even the right to exist, and since you are Palestinian, I cannot take seriously your claims. Being just an Independent American, I do not support Israel or Palestine in their land dispute. Palestinians have rejected Israel from day one including an offer by the UN to land and its on state in 1948. Although I think Palestinians do not deserve another chance after rejecting the offer so many times, for the sake of peace, I would be willing to agree to a state for the Palestinians agreed to by the rest of the world. Otherwise, I am afraid your attitude is going to lead to the annihilation of Palestine one day, not Israel.

Markoller, I don't agree with your conspiracy theory, but I do think you made some valid points. Whether or not your theory is right, Yemen is not cooperating with the US on terrorism. The Yemen courts convicted the men of conspiracy, now they are changing their minds? I wonder whatever happened to "we will consider any country our enemy if you harbor terrorists. You are either for us or against us". hmmmm Where is that great commander in Chief when it comes to countries like Yemen and Saudia Arabia? I wonder if he only thinks Iran is harboring terrorists? hmmmmmm Me thinks he is nothing more than a blowhard.

Although Yemen lacked the power to openly defy The United States, they still managed to quietly resist American power. I only wish the American colossus was willing to resist Israel.
Well, my thought on that is if Yemen really caved to US pressure to convict someone, they deserve what they get. I tend to believe the FBI agent in the story and think Yemen is really not our allies in the war on terror. I think they would wink at terror that favors their point of view. Terror is terror wherever it comes from, the US, Muslim terrorists, or Israel.

I knew nothing about alternative theories of the collapse of the Twin Towers, then I read that the collapse of the towers at near free fall speed was suspicious, so I looked it up on the Internet. The Yemeni authorities had good reason to think that the explosion was internal. The official lies about the Cole bombing are not as supremely ludicrous as the hijacked jets hitting the Twin Towers and the Pentagon or Israel mistaking the USS Liberty for the El Quseir, but it is still full of holes. Even the side of the ship facing the refueling dock was wrong, and the Navy admitted that the ship had been undergoing refueling for half an hour when the explosion took place. Nor could a boat containing 500 pounds of explosives cause as much damage to the ship. It would have required a large shaped charge, and explosives only The United States, Israel and two Arab nations possessed. Or, it was an internal blast.
