Please could someone improve my lack of knowledge here. BUT, I was under the impression that the US constitution applied to US citizens ?

The ACLU is trying to turn this into a constitutional issue. Which begs the question..are illegals covered under the U.S. Constitution? I say no
AB - Hence my question. How can the US constitution apply to ILLEGAL immigrants ? I could understand if it applied to LEGAL ones, but this has me baffled !!!!!

We probably agree a lot more on some of these issues than you might think Tang.I am anti illegal 100%.As far as the ACLU goes,i agree and disagree.In my book they are needed,i don't agree with them all the time,but i see them as a needed entity to keep a watch on the constitution,or at least make people aware of constitutional issues.
