Do No Evil – The American Petroleum Institute, the industry's main lobby, has embarked on a multiyear, multimedia, multimillion-dollar campaign, which includes advertising in the nation's largest newspapers, news conferences in many state capitals and trips for bloggers out to drilling platforms at sea.

Taking a cue from the health insurance lobby's "Harry and Louise" campaign that defeated lowering healthcare costs by switching to a single-payer plan by brainwashing millions of Americans into believing the system we have now is the best in the world--though the World Health Organization disagrees--the oil lobbies are now protecting their record profits with a massive advertising and public relations campaign.

When will people wise up and realize that oil companies are making record profits from the increased cost of crude? Even if they pay more to produce gas and to recoup drilling costs, THEY'RE STILL MAKING MORE PROFIT from it.

And will people realize that the massive cost of this campaign is coming from consumers' wallets?
