I know it was satire, but it's the truth. Pair those same things with a democrat, and the freaks in the media WOULD be asking those very questions as though they were legitimate. I hope a whole lot of people see this.

lol, AS IF the media isnt totally liberally biased! Please, you people have had it so good in the media for so long now when you ACTUALLY HAVE TO FACE TOUGH QUESTIONS in a debate you all FREAK out!

F'ING PATHETIC!

SpinFreak:

If you pulled your head out of that dark warm hole you like to keep it in, and did a little investigating of your own, you'd see that there are REAL issues facing the country that will affect every citizen for years to come. Those issues don't include whether the president should wear a lapel pin. They're about jobs, the economy, war, energy policy, etc.--I could go on.

TOUGH QUESTIONS address REAL ISSUES.

CHARACTER......which those questions spoke to...... IS A REAL ISSUE JACKASS...or are you so devoid of it (like most liberals) you dont even understand that anymore?

avatar
Reply

No, we understand character very well which is why were are liberals.

avatar
Reply

No, you liberals understand little, if anything and are pretty much clueless.

I am blown away by your wit. How can I do anything but recoil in the face of such a well thought out and considered retort!

Damn, I might as well hang it up in here. I've been bested beyond all hope of recovery. .....................Not!

Actually, its older than that. Sarcasm was around in Shakespeare's day but never loses its freshness. For any who have even a passing familiarity with history, they'll tell you that there is very little that is new under the sun in the realms of wit or sarcasm. Its not a matter of whether you originate something, but how well and when you apply it. If comedians or debaters did not recycle the same materials in slightly different versions, we would have run out jabs a few centuries ago.

But by all means, Mr.Spin, give us something fresh to feast upon and I'll defer to your superior abilities.

Character? Are you so blind that you don't see what focusing on non-issues did in the last two presidential elections?

Did you vote for Bush on CHARACTER?

avatar
Reply

No, initially it was a vote against Kerry but GB and all the problems that he's had to deal with since he's been in office

has made me respect the man. His character is a non issue. There's no doubt when Mac takes over it will be ANOTHER step in the right direction.

avatar
Reply

I see. Bush's character wasn't an issue, but Kerry's was.

And how's that vote working out for you? You're prepared to do it again?

By the way, did you watch the video to which this thread is attached? If those questions at the debate were fair and reasonable to ask Obama and Clinton, then don't you think it would be fair to ask the questions Olbermann posed to McCain in the video? Think he'd have any answers for them?

avatar
Reply

"Did you vote for Bush on CHARACTER?"

NOPE, Voted for Bush because he does not want go reach in my back pocket and rip my money (that I have worked my ass off for) out of it, only to give it to some crack head on her 13th baby.....

avatar
Reply

Gee, you just said character is a real issue. But you didn't vote for Bush on that one, you voted for him because you thought he'd be fiscally responsible--an issue I'd be willing to debate about any of the current candidates.

But when it came to what we both agree is a real issue, you didn't even notice--Bush reached into your pocket, along with your kids', grandkids' and any unborn future generations' pockets as well.

You may not have heard this on Fox News, but we're $9 TRILLION in debt. That's a debt of $30,000 per U.S. citizen.

Where do you think the money is going to come from to pay that off?

CHARACTER......which those questions spoke to...... IS A REAL ISSUE JACKASS

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In that case, McCain SHOULD be answering the questions....
1) Why DID you commit Adultery?
2) Why DID you do everything in your power to protect the Keating 5 which cost the US taxpayers BILLIONS of dollars?
3) Why have you aligned yourself with Religious extremist the spew so much hate (in DIRECT contradiction to the teachings of Jesus)?
4) Why HAVE you changed your position on NEARLY every MAJOR policy to align yourself with this corrupt Administration.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You're right "CHARACTER......which those questions spoke to...... IS A REAL ISSUE JACKASS" and John McCain's is REALLY questionable!

Two can play that game:

To Obama:

1. Why do you maintain a "friendly relationship" with William Ayres, unrepentant terrorist bomber of the Pentagon, Capitol, and NYPD?

2. How do you justify the pro-Marxist statements made in your books?

3. How do you rationalize attacking over the Keating affair, which happened over 20 years ago and whom McCain cursed, while at the same time maintaining a current friendship with Rezko?

4. Why didn't you stand up against the anti-Semites at that meeting and will this hurt you in the North East?

5. Do you think flipping off Hillary Clinton will allienate any portion of the 45% of Democrats who support her?

avatar
Reply

Obama's already having to deal with those questions. Apparently you've missed all the stories about last week's debate.

Now, I guess, it's McCain's turn to answer.

avatar
Reply

"lol, AS IF the media isnt totally liberally biased!"

--It's apparently so "totally liberally biased" that you're at a loss for examples or any evidence to substantiate your opinion. Wow. That IS biased. LOL

Huh, isn't that kind of redundant...all you have to do is turn on the TV for, say, 5 mins??

Come on Meso, even for a liberal, I know you are not that stupid.

avatar
Reply

Now, now, Spinney, callin others stoopid is the the most common thing stoopid poeple say bout others.

So, you might want to ease up on that.

And I realize that Im breakin rules here established by our Right Wing MEdia Machine, but as you know, (be honest now) media is perceived as libural ONLY to those whose views are so freakish and bizarre ... they (you) would only be happy with a department of fascist propaganda.

What is the CLEAREST sign that media is NOT libural? It was the media, working hand in hand with the Republican Media Machine, that generated the momentum to impeach Clinton.

Probably a lot of liberals and/or Democrats and some independents will. The rest either won't even see the video at all, or if they do, they won't "see it". People with double standards don't seem to be able to put themselves in the place of the other.

John McCain (D-GOP) has only two things working for him.

1. Hillary

2. Obama

avatar
Reply

Fortunately for him, that's all he needs. Even spoiled milk is more appetizing that donkey dung.

avatar
Reply

Hey there the best they can come up with, pretty pathetic. Let's hope John can come up with an excellent running mate.

avatar

The only people who will vote for McCain are those who are voting against a Democrat.

avatar

And those that are voting against a democrat must like where this country is,and anyone that likes where we are does indeed need an enema.

avatar

Tchef, I hear what you're saying...if that were true (which is debatable) would it be different in any substantive way from the "Anybody But Bush" mantra that we heard from Democrats in the last election cycle?

avatar
Reply

I truly supported John Kerry in the last election. I think he would have made a much better President then George Bush. Unfortunately he ran a really bad campaign. The biggest thing that sticks out in my mind was that whole "Goose Hunting" thing. Could anything have looked more fake?

Keith Overbite is a truly troubled individual. He pledges allegiance tp Obama certainly not to America!

avatar
Reply

I dont know much bout Overbite or Oberman and not really much bout Obama.

But the worst thing that has happened to our nation in my lieftime is that day January 20, 2001.

Thats in retrospect.

I was hoping for the best from this admitted coke-head, alcoholic, avowed nar-do-well, draft dodger ... but alas, my fears were validated.

I mean, really, anyone who still supports the failed policies of this administration should be eradicated from the votin roles - because they clearly do not have Americas best interest at heart.

avatar
Reply

It's just a fact that there will always be those who never admit mistakes. Instead, they repeat the same mistake repeatedly, in an effort to assure the rest of us they are correct.

This is called party line voting.

NoSpine

and libsrfunny are perfect examples of this stupid behavior.

Should be classified as "humor"; and "destroys" is a bit of an exageration, don't you think?

avatar
Reply

Actually, Simon, even though the piece is satire, the implications are true and not an exaggeration at all. They laughed in the video because those there that know Keith best, knew he was using satire. McCains life and bid for the Presidency is no laughing matter. This buffoon of GWB proportions may actually get elected. If he does, just like with GWB, we will sadly be laughing for 4 years again. It beats suicide or crying.

avatar
Reply

I guess you're right ...we have weak choices all around this year.

avatar
Reply

Sometimes the only way to get people to think is through satire.

avatar
Reply

Keith is spot on. And what about his adultery with the woman who is now his wife? And her drug abuse? And his associations and connivance with the Keating 5? What about all that? Hum?

avatar
Reply

Yeah, Obama's admitted drug abuse, connection to Rezko and affinity for racists like Wright are such great qualities LOL.

And Hillary? The Clintons have a long history of corruption.
