Do No Evil – Not everyone is feeling the pinch of the declining economy. A New York Times piece Monday tells the tale of Paul Parmar, a 37-year-old investor in health care, defense, luxury and media companies.
"They can all go to h_ll!!"
Why? It's their money. They earned it. What business is it of yours what they earned or what they did with it? It's not YOUR money, it's THEIRS.
Now the government, on the other hand, IS your money. Why are you not outraged that Congress keeps voting themselves raises? Why are you not outraged that government programs keep multiplying, even as they show no solutions to the problems that they are meant to address? Why are you not outraged at people like Eliot Spitzer, Kwame Kilpatrick and James McGreevey, who use public office and PUBLIC FUNDS to finance their trash behavior and criminal activity? Why aren't you outraged at the Clintons? They made 109 million dollars last year. Should they go to h_ll!!, too?
t's not YOUR money, it's THEIRS.>>>>
Really? That money the CONS printed to bail out Bear Stearns is 'their' money? The play money that devalued the dollar more, causing rising prices of consumer goods? And the infrastructure the big boys use to make their billions; who built it? Right down to the water they use to flush their toilets; who paid for the system that gave em that 'perk?' And the roads they use to move their goods. Who paid for em? And the technology they use. Who underwrote it? Who underwrote the satellite technology big business uses? Who owns the air waves big business uses? If not for the common man's hard work and taxes, there would be no 'big business.' And how do they pay their society back? They take their businesses off shore to get out of paying taxes & paying decent wages. So spare me that it's all theirs. There are some pay backs due the people of this country who made it possible.
Why the neg, GHOSTWHOFARTS? Am I wrong? Is it not the CEO's money that they rightfully earned in the private sector? Are government programs a shining, exemplary model of accountability and accomplishments? Is Congress not voting themselves raises at taxpayer expense? Are Eliot Spitzer, Kwame Kilpatrick and James McGreevey not corrupt, and abusing their public office? Did the Clintons not make $109 million last year? WHAT? What are you neg-ing me on?
Perhaps you don't like hearing the truth? Is that it, GHOSTWHOFARTS? Are facts and reality a bit tough for you to handle?
"Is it not the CEO's money that they rightfully earned in the private sector? "
Not usualy. Often times the CEO of a failing company is rewarded. Then again you have to consider what "rightfully earned" means. Considering what most CEOs actually do, it's unlikely that they've "rightfully earned" even a hundredth of what they make.
But then you and I disagree on social policy. You enjoy the idea of being a leech that builds empires on the backs of the poor and I tend towards a leveling which will raise those poor out of poverty and build a solid foundation upon which the entire country can be built up and from which they can strive and compete with the rest of the clowns like you.
"health care, defense, luxury and media companies. "
Well duh.
People will always be sick, the military industrial complex will always be fed like the glutton it is, there will always be the filthy rich buying useless luxury crap and there will always be the middle class and poor who are either brainwashed into oblivion by the media or who seek solace in sitcoms to avoid the fact their family is starving.

So? Why is any of this your business?
Seems to me you have enough on your plate to deal with, without taking on everyone else's problems. You might want to focus on your own miserable, misguided life before you start trying to fix everyone else's. Just a suggestion.

What a sad, little, angry boy you are. My life is great. I'm only sorry yours is so consumed and soiled by an attachment to material wealth and ego.

Why? A little reported fact of the hemorrhaging US economy is that healthcare companies -- and more widely known -- defense contractors, are raking it in.>>>>
tsk tsk tsk. I guess it wouldn't do any good to point out the obvious in this.
