FTA:
In the letter, a copy of which was obtained by The Associated Press, the mothers from the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints also say children are "horrified" by physical examinations they have undergone while in state custody.
If these poor children had not been brainwashed, and traumatized by their own mothers and fathers, a simple examination by a Dr wouldn't be such a horrifying experience for them. IMO!
Where were these protective mothers when their daughters were married off to old men who beat and sexually abused them? What could be worse than that?
I guess it's what you get used to, but the men need to be kept as far away from these girls and children as possible.

I agree with you regarding the brainwashing and trauma caused and perpetrated upon these young women and children.
However, there's something to be said for the fact that they may indeed be traumatized by the physical examinations they've had to go through coming from a background where they are in no way familiar with the outside world. If you came from a culture (or sect or whatever) where these things were unheard of and never discussed, these kinds of examinations might be terrifying, horrifying, traumatizing, et cetera.
That said, I believe that some of them may be neccessary. It's a very difficult situation to balance justice and respect for another's cultural differences or religious traditions.

I'm wondering if they are treating the children for their anxieties with a mild tranquilizer or something. It seems to me that until they've had a little time to adjust emotionally and psychologically to this drastic change in their young lives, it would be advisable to temporarily administer a calming agent.
Of course, in the case of the mothers to be, effects on their unborn must be considered! Such a sad, sad situation for them all!
The pedophiles who have done this to these innocent ones deserve to go to prison for the rest of their miserable lives for the irreparable damage they have done to so many!

No one has been convicted yet. In any case, knowing the effect of foster care and children's homes, the kids would be better off if they could be returned to a parent safely and as soon as possible. That is contingent on being unable to prove any signs of abuse.

I'm afraid that the Nazi government has seized children only to condemn them to a life of institutions and foster homes. The authorities can't even identify the illeged "victim" who called in a complaint. Did they actually receive a call? I don't condone polygomy but what is the difference between underaged Mormon girls getting pregnant and massive numbers of inner city girls who do the same thing with multiple men?

I doubt that it would do any good. They would just find other, unnatural ways to satisfy their lust! They are filled with evil.

After reading the article this question came to mind;
I wonder if the women from the compound are in a way trying to blame or at least 'paint a picture' of the authorities committing child abuse and or being 'grossly negligent/abusive' because of the 'special needs' of the 'detained' not being meet.
If so, that could take the spotlight of them the cult women, children and males and enable them to possibly get out of a very tight spot legally with the authorities and thereby hopefully end the 'discovery process' the state of Texas is undertaking.
Interesting twist if true.

I agree n2n. The cult is 'in too deep' now with the State and possibly Fed authorities.
But it is an interesting idea or at least a desperate try on their part.
I'm not sure of the cult's religious intent about the marriages but the bed's as reported placed and used would lead me to think that it was a 'wham-bam-thank you mam' sit up to 'consummate' the so called marriages.
What is with the young girls marrying much older men for procreation purposes; how does that fit into a 'religious values' system??? I truly do not get it or see the connection?
Gotta go now y'all; system is slowing down and going to crash. Gotta de-bug it.
I'll check back later if and when I get things cleaned up.
See you later.
Peace all.

Wonder if the other LDS church could help these children, rather than to place them in foster care? I believe that some of these young women/mothers do not know any better, because this is the only life they have known!
I rather doubt that Gov. Perry will get involved!
Thanks not2needy!

That's a great idea tex, it would be very nice and helpful if the LDS churches got involved and tried to help these children.

On problem, while the FDLS has same but not a lot of problems with other religions they just avoid them, when it comes to their dealings with the LDS church, that would be akin to a Sunni/Shiite relationship.

No doubt many of these children ARE terrified. They have been taken away from the only life they know, from those who have provided for them for all their lives. Examinations for rape are invasive, and frighten children who have been to the doctor many times before. I can't imagine that protective services could be prepared with caring homes for a sudden influx of more than 400 children. I am not (yet) saying that this is a wrongdoing, but no solution to this mess will be without problems for some of these children.

The trauma to the mothers and children is unfortunate. However, the mind-control lie they've lived under their entire lives is one of the most heinous things going.
It's only sad that laws we use to protect innocent people always end up helping criminals. In fact, they study the law and determine how to structure their activities so no one finds out.
Once people are brain-washed, most of them cling to it out of fear. One ex-FLDS female member said most women exhibit Stockholm Syndrome, much as Patty Hearst did.

Dress makers across the world report a severe drop in the demand for ankle-length, old fashioned dresses. "It's inexplicable," said one Chinese sewing center manager. "One day we were shipping truckloads of these dresses to this place in Texas, and next thing you know all their orders were canceled."
