The U.S. will not admit to torture. Why torture, when you can have other governments do the dirty work for you? Then you can claim your hands are clean. Are they really?

avatar
Reply

Nope. Our hands are steeped in the blood and will become one of the most hated people on the face of the earth and we had nothing to say-that made a difference-about the cause and effect of Le Muffette's failures.

Where's their proof? They didn't offer any.

How much proof would it take to convince you? The demolition of the Twin Trade Towers with explosives is better documented than the bombing of Pearl Harbor. There are only to 8mm films of the bombing, and the combined length is about ten minutes.

From: "wblad"

Subject: Pearl Harbor movies

"There were two hand held 8mm movie cameras in private hands at the Pearl Harbor attack and both recorded parts of the battle. The most important was footage shot by a doctor on the hospital ship Solace which caught the Arizona exploding. Still frames from this film have been printed often. Both cameras only contained about 10 minutes worth of film and are very grainy. Only long shots were possible, zoom lenses were many years in the future."

Sure are. And the goofball who said we will become one of the most hated people on the face of the Earth is full of it.

Besides, liberals tell us over and over the Bush administration hasn't the ability to work with Middle East nations.

Interesting the allegations are at least 4 years old. If this were such a pressing issue, why'd it take so long? I also wonder if there was a specific reason people were handed over to other nations -- like maybe they were wanted to answer for other crimes.

More liberal whining for people who wouldn't think twice about blowing up innocent people - including babies.

There is no "becoming" one of the most hated people on the face of the earth ...

We already ARE the most hated country and people on the planet, thanks to the greedy, evil, self-serving actions of the Bush administration.

You are correct - the Bush admin does NOT have the ability to work with ANY nations, including the middle east. That is a fact, documented by COUNTLESS incidents over the last 7 years.

The allegations are "old" because the Republicans and the neocons and the right-wing judges have blocked the attempts by the Democrats to DO anything about any of it. If you haven't figured that out, then you really ARE not paying attention to anything that resembles the TRUTH.

There is NOTHING to back up any sort of "claim" that any of "those people" were planning to blow up ANYONE.

There was NO specific reason that ANY of those people were "handed over". If they really HAD committed any crimes against America, there would be something called EVIDENCE to support the claim and there would be no need to KIDNAP and HIDE people and TORTURE them in some sort of ludicrous 'plan' to get them to confess to "something".

"Interesting" the LACK of any EVIDENCE that any of those "rendered" people did ANYTHING wrong.

I thought I had seen it all, until I read "A Dialogue With Gerard Holmgren." It untangles all the lies, contradictions and confusion about the 'hijacked' airliners, the passengers and the pilots of September 11. It is also a shocking expose of the press. Gerard Holmgren wrote, "Most journalism is just plagiarism of hearsay." It even exposes the toppling of Saddam Hussein's statue as a computer generated hoax. And it eliminates any doubt that we live in an Orwellian world in which every word the government and press says is a lie.

Download http://news.propeller.com/story/2008/04/13/a-di... Although it is 31 pages long, it is worth taking the time to read. And visit Gerard Holmgren's website. It is not a shill website; Holmgren tells the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Amazing. Some just can't make the connection with people hating us, & the things our government does, and has done, in our names. Some will continue to chant "they hate our freedom"

& wallow in their self righteous stupidity.

Israel's Tehran connection: Happily buying Iranian Oil

Do No Evil รข;; Israel, while supposedly observing an ironclad boycott of all things Iranian, is happily buying Iranian oil. Meanwhile, the US State Dept. follows ZionCon directives and criticizes Switzerland for buying Iranian gas.

Keeping their leaders around to pick their brains is just plain smart. Let 'em waterboard all day long with the Beach boys blaring in the background.

This way you crying liberal milk toasts can keep your fancy, pastel colored condos and lazy lifestyles, whilst all the while bemoaning the people who make it possible.

Shut up already.

Ruggaboo,

Maybe torture would persuade you to tell the truth about the World Trade Center and Pentagon demolition.

So what are your arguments besides name calling? Did you ever look at any of the evidence? At least watch the first video below. You will see that the 767 crash into the south tower was as phony as a Road Runner cartoon. Flights AA 11 and AA 77, which supposedly crashed into the north tower and the Pentagon never took off, according the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. The BTS records all take-offs and landings of commercial airliners. See http://www.serendipity.li/wot/aa_flts/aa_flts.htm

The sickest part of this is that we paid Afghan warlords $10,000 per arrest to grab "terrorists" and turn them over to us. Now given this size bounty, many a warlord just grabbed some poor jerk who was either a nobody or who had previously peeved him. They turned them in to the CIA with an imaginary rap sheet, and the CIA turned them over to states who would torture them until they admitted to whatever trumped up charges the warlord had supplied.

Many of such detainees are still in custody in Guantanamo with no hope of ever getting out. Bush league justice. May it soon be applied to him.

Yeah

ET may your rambling productions live on.

Maybe you can sell the script to mainstreet Hollyweird.

I like it though, everybody is innocent and terror is only embodied on fake rap sheets.

Quick, get someone on the phone, you've made an extraordinary break through!

ET's info about the 'detainees' and the bounty that was offered by our military to people in Afghanistan is true.

It is no 'breakthrough'- it is documented fact.

You don't have to like it, but denigrating ET for saying is juvenile.

Replying to Rugaboo above: Typical RepugniCon answer. Never deal with facts. Just attack the messenger. Smear and Fear and name call.

Here's just one specific. Murat Kurnaz is a Turkish citizen of German decent, and was in the precess of becoming a German Citizen when he was arrested in Pakistan in 2001. The now infamous Curveball claimed that he was a go-between in meetings between al Qaeda and Saddam.

The Bush Administration REALLY wanted this phony connection to be true because it would help them sell an invasion of Iraq. So the CIA used extraordinary rendition to take Kurnaz to Afghanistan where he was hung by his hands in a cold aircraft hanger for 5 days. He was given electric chocks. He had his head held under water while being punched in the stomach, forcing him to breathe in water and experience the sensation of drowning.

The torture only stopped after he falsely confessed to meetings we now know beyond a shadow of doubt never happened. Saddam and Osama were in fact mortal enemies, not allies. Curveball has been exposed as a drunk and a pathological liar.

Boy, one has to want to be ignorant to put those questions at this late date.

Many legal and other human rights organizations have addressed this. One good source is here:

The Legal Prohibition Against Torture

Key Questions

What is torture?

What laws prohibit torture?

Do non-citizens in the U.S. have the same right not to be tortured as U.S. citizens?

Can a person be compelled to provide evidence?

Can limited physical force be used during interrogations?

Is the use of "truth serums" permitted?

Are there any situations in which torture is permitted?

Shouldn't torture be permitted if its use will save lives?

Does the U.S. lose valuable information if torture is prohibited?

May the U.S. send detainees to other countries to be questioned?

What are the remedies against torture?

HMMace,

Do you have any objection to torturing Muslims. You certainly have no objection to murdering them. I quote from "Radio Host Tears Into 'Offended' Muslim," page 11, "I am ready now--give me a sniper gun, and where is the nearest mosque??? As the old saying goes--"Kill them all, and let god sort out the "good" ones." Do you still feel that way? And what makes you think Muslims have a monopoly on terrorism? You should look at yourself in a mirror.

In case you think Arab hijackers were to blame for the World Trade Center and Pentagon terrorism, then explain your reasoning. I do not think you can, anymore than you can explain why a triangle has five sides.

The treatment of Murat Kurnaz meets the definition of toruture even according to the Yoo memo.
