Mr. Wright has only (abruptly) announced his intention to retire at the end of May 2008. He has not yet retired.

But never mind such petty details.

It's fun to watch Mr. Obama's fabled judgment at work.

Obama had 20 years to make up his mind about his pastor. His staying that long clearly indicates he supported his pastor rather than opposed his viewpoints.

and speaking of fabled judgement......Obama's vol. 104 is the least-cited volume of the Harvard Law Review in the last 20 years

        1. Obama's volume 104 (1990-91) has been cited an average of 170 times a year. That is, it was cited 2045 times in the first 12 full years after publication (i.e., 1992 to 2003). It has been cited at the lowest rate of any volume published in the past 20 years.

        2. By comparison, for all other volumes published during the past twenty years for which at least a year's worth of data is available (vols. 101 to 103, and vols. 105 to 118), they have been cited an average of 262 times a year â;; a rate 54% higher than the citation rate for Obama's volume.

Democrat Barack Obama seemed to suggest in an interview aired Friday that his former pastor has acknowledged that his controversial remarks were inappropriate and hurtful, ALTHOUGH THERE ARE NO PUBLIC ACCOUNTS OF THE MINISTER HAVING DONE SO.

"Had the reverend not retired and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying there at the church," Obama said."

After 20 years as a member of the Church and only after being exposed would he consider leaving......strains credibility

Sure he would have left. Whatever.

Obama thinks this will just go away but it hasn't and it won't. Everyone of our friends that we have talked with have said it has changed how they look at him and that they won't vote for him peroid. People don't forget stuff like this.

        Be careful who vote for.
