Do we want four years of George W. McCain? Amnesty for both Telecoms and immigrants? Special interests writing government policy? War mongering? Economic know nothing?

avatar
Reply

Ya. Rather have that then four years of Whitey is the devil. And the truth of it is that half the stuff you bitching about is what's wrong with you Democrat friends. Obama knows nothing about war, economics, or immigration so what are you talking about?

avatar
Reply

Obama knows a hell of a lot more about the real politics of war, economics, and immigration than any CON candidate of the last thirty years. The only thing McCain understands about it, other than he hates 'gooks', is how to appeal to you bigot's fears.

If, say, Bush somehow understands this stuff, what the f*ck happened?

Go on, DL, enlighten me as to the 'wisdom content' of the last eight years of such knowledgeable leaders. As in: where was it?

"Obama knows a hell of a lot more about the real politics of war, economics, and immigration than any CON candidate of the last thirty years."

lol, ohh man, thank you! I really needed a good laugh. Obama is a neophyte who talks a lot while saying nothing. The few times he has said something, he had to retract his statements after being proven a liar.

Utter nonsense, especially as a defense of the unparalleled incompetence of the GOP. You have no relationship with reality whatsoever, do you?

You go right on believing that load, though. We're not trying to convert you morons, just show others how wrong you are and how short-sighted and manipulated you have always been.

avatar
Reply

Speaking of morons and being manipulated, I sure wish you dumocrats would actually listen to facts on both sides and stop sticking your head in the sand when something you don't want to hear comes on! Learn how our government actually works, then you can criticize. Right now congress is screwing so many things up, I can't believe we haven't had a revolt of some sort.

avatar

GRRR... your exactly what we expect from an Obama supporter. You don't even have any facts to base anything about what you are saying. What has Obama done about the war in Iraq? Nothing. What has Obama done with illegal immigration? Nothing. What has Obama done with our economy besides raise $50 million for his campaign during a recession? Nothing.

Just keep flapping your lip. You make $shit up just as good as anyone.

avatar

What have the Republicans done about any of those issues? They had been in total control until last year yet nothing got done. They have put us where we are. So unless you support a independent you don't have much to say.

Well said, tchef...

To start with, I am not an Obama supporter. I voted Paul. Not on to your argument.

"What has Obama done about the war in Iraq? Nothing."

In this case, doing nothing is better than starting and perpetuating the war where nothing is returned to us besides a huge cost and 4000 body bags. Doing nothing would have been preferable.

"What has Obama done with illegal immigration? Nothing."

This benchmark is equal to the current administrations and congresses. I am not sure that this is a beneficial comparison for your argument.

"What has Obama done with our economy besides raise $50 million for his campaign during a recession? Nothing."

Arguably, it has created some jobs. Maybe it can be considered political trickle down. I see that you agree that we are in a recession by your statement or do you want to retract that part?

One telling thing that is apparent from your post is that you need to aim higher. You need to raise the benchmark of your argument.

Seems to me, ziggy, that your party's whole platform is to ignore everything you don't want to hear and don't agree with. We call them "FACTS".

Oh, please. Obama is a smooth talking socialist.

As opposed to an old fart who is willing to give away the us treasury to corporations - a Corpratist like McCain

Why do Cons bag on socialist policies when the few programs we have only help you, protect you and give back to you. What has a telecom given you that you haven't paid (through the nose) for? What have they given the american infrastructure that we didn't pay through the nose for?

Stop worshiping coprorations - they don't give back to you, they only take from you.

In keeping with netscape tradition I will post completely off topic...

I have a question: John McCain's wife is s former drug addict who was dependent on Vicodin and percocet, not only that she stole from her own charity, she had prescriptions forged by charity doctors which she had her nanny pick up for her and bring her...I was just wondering what the media would say if it was Obama's wife...hmmmmm.

Also why isn't anyone talking about McCains involvement in the savings and loan scandal of the 80s...

McCain is as crooked as the come, politics as usual and all the dirt is there if the media cares to get of its ass and do some actual investigative journalism like it used to.

The revrend and rezco, that's all you got on Obama, nothing, and it it driving Rapepublicans crazy, they want Hillary so bad, that's why they are going to vote for her today in PA...too late, your gonna face Obama, John McSame, I can't wait for the General to start. TeflonObama!

That post was me trying to sound like a republican attack machine, I'm not as good at it as they are.

avatar

What kind of statement is that?!!LOL!??! he knows nothing about economics? I think you meant John McSame, I mean he said it himself that he really doesn't understand the economy all that well. Hey you might not agree with Obama on the issues, but you look foolish when you say the man is ignorant to a particular issue like that as a whole, but I've read too many off your posts to know you don't really care about facts, or making a clear concise argument, you prefer simply to vent, your a dinosaur my friend, the exact thing Obama runs against, the same old politics, people calling each other names, sad really, you're stuck in the past man, but it's ok because Obama loves you too.

News flash: All the candidates have people with "lobbyist ties" working on their campaigns.

avatar
Reply

Agreed, but it diminishes the position of a person who claims the desire to reduce or eliminate their influence. It is the appearance of a double standard. The other campaigners haven't made it part of their political platform.

As McCain speaks, I agree with him on the issue. I am not so sure as he does.

They all should consider campaigning by example.

McCain's Role in Plane Pact Spotlights Ties to Lobbyists

By Michael D. Shear and Matthew Mosk

Washington Post Staff Writers

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

To show that he's a crusader against wasteful spending and congressional corruption, Sen. John McCain repeatedly brags about his leading role in stopping a scandal-plagued air tanker contract between the Air Force and Boeing in 2004

Four years later, a $35 billion contract has been awarded to Europe's Airbus consortium to build the latest generation of tanker planes. The decision has sparked anger from Boeing's congressional supporters and critics of outsourcing. It has also focused attention on McCain's reliance on lobbyists in his campaign for president because his finance chairman and several other top advisers lobbied for Airbus last year when it was in fierce competition with Boeing for the Air Force contract.

Imagine that, helping to take jobs away from Americans

MMMMMMMMMM........

Hey Dumbass, do you know where these planes are going to be made? Obviously not. Try Mobile, Alabama. That's in AMERICA since you overlooked that fact.

avatar
Reply

Right....

"While final assembly of the craft would take place at an Airbus plant near Mobile, Alabama, parts would come from suppliers across the globe."

Where as, if they where made by Boeing almost all of parts and assembly would be done in the US.

As demonstrated, your language makes your statement incorrect. If you change the word made to finally assembled, you would have a statement that would be closer to the truth.

McCain must get his information from the same place that Hillary "Attacked in Bosnia" Clinton does.

Le Muffette Jr. and lobbyist? Nothing new here.

This is why Obama is my man, if we let him stay in the congress much longer he will be touch by the special interest, as it is he is not and that is good for our country...his policies will not be dictated to him by big corporation, cant say the same for Hill and McCain. This is why Bill Clinton was a good president for this country because he was untouched by this filth.

avatar
Reply

Right...no Chinese money for Bill Clinton or associations with lobbyists who later became fugitives.

avatar

You mean people that dont pay taxes and then are let off the hook by Clinton?s

avatar
Reply

Clinton pardoned one person for tax evasion, right?

Bush let all the wealthiest people and corporations in the nation off the hook for enough of their tax burden to pretty much sink our economy.

Hmmmmm, which one hurt our country the most?

avatar
Reply

Bill just got 20 million Dubai dollars. There's enough graft for all the politicians.

avatar
Reply

So basically...what are you saying is that its ok for Clinton to do something that is of questionable legality as long as he didn't do it as much as Bush did?

Right...hypocrit.

avatar
Reply

Why is it you Cons always take someone pointing out your hypocrisy on an issue as a defense of that issue? No, I didn't say it was okay for Clinton to do what W did. I don't think he did, and it seems pretty stupid to try and single out a single pardon as an example of policy or some sweeping injustice. You guys crack me up. As far as pardons go, and Clinton's record, and more of the hypocrisy you so grossly display, I have a feeling you're gonna feel like a real dip before W's out of office.

avatar

Hey GRRRr.... this Liberal Article posted on Nutscape is Liberal Hypocrisy so why don't you point that out and stop bitching. All we are saying is that Obama and Hillary are just as bad in terms of lobbyists. How do you think Obama could raise $50 million last month in a time of recession?

And for being the poor mans party, I wonder if Obama will give that money to help anyone. probably not.

avatar
Reply

Poor man's party?

Well now, thats quite an astute observation, lib.

You'd better check the income and education levels of both parties' members.

You'll apparently be very surprised.

Poor man's party...... If you mean that the Democrats support the poor man, you might be on to something.

The Dems actually have to keep people poor and on public assistance in order to garner votes from the Bread and Circuses crowd.

Clinton pardoned the biggest tax evader in history AFTER the guy's ex-wife donated $M's to his campaigns.

He has payed his taxes, he ran because they wanted to put him in Jail as well. And you on the right are ones to talk about paying taxes!

The person you guys are talking about Mr. Rich was a fugitive before Clinton became president, what Clinton did was pardon his wife friend husband. Rich was a lobbyist under Bush 1 and Ronnie, not bill Clinton get your story correct because if you don't I will correct you!
