The Pentagon keeps 2 sets of books on injured GIs, and the VA will not request enough resources to care for the troops.

"The most frequently cited figure is the 29,320 soldiers wounded in action in Iraq as of Thursday. But there have been 31,325 others treated for non-combat injuries and illness as of March 1."

The Bush admin only counts "combat" injuries when they publish their statistic of the number of wounded soldiers from Iraq.

They are UNDERSTATING the actual injuries - many of them severe and permanent - by OVER 50%!

The actual current tally if injured soldiers from Iraq should be 60,645!
