It is wonderful to see that the Republican Party has chosen John McCain as its probable nominee. We won't have to listen to Ron Paul talking about freedom and restoring the Constitution and a sound monetary system anymore.

      FTA:

We won't have to listen to Paul wanting to restore the republic that our forefathers set up. What a waste of time to think we can become a nation of freedoms again. We need to continue paying our income taxes so that we can pay the interest on our national debt. It's great to see that the Republican Party wants to remain status quo and not interrupt any of our systems all in the name of democracy. Congratulations to the Republicans that voted for John McCain.

Don't bet on it. The message of freedom once unleashed, cannot be silenced, nor swept under a rug.

It's too bad Ron Paul dropped out or that his message was not taken serious enough to make a difference . Maybe his message was taken serious and he was told to stand down . In either situation , this country needs new direction and possibly a new political system . The debt will never be paid off . Why not do like we did with Brazil in the 1970's and just forgive the debt and start over again .

Ron Paul has not dropped out. He did take time to run for his house seat. Now I look forward to a debate between Paul and McWar, McWar won't stand a chance. That'll be the reason why he will not debate Ron Paul.

Ron Paul no doubt WAS told to "stand down" by the republi-con machine heads, but he would never acquiesce to such a dictate. So instead, the machine heads instructed the lackey press to ignore and/or smear him at every opportunity, which they obligingly did, of course. It's worked up to a point, but if Paul mounts a third party or an independent run, interest in him and his message might finally outstrip the media's ability to keep a muzzle on it all. Keep your fingers crossed. Rumor has it Paul is in talks with Bob Barr about just such a possibility.

So what the author is saying is that this country needs to continue what it has been doing. That's certainly what a vote for McCain will accomplish.
