Silicon Valley is going green -- literally! The 44-square-mile parcel of rolling hills and oak woodlands is about the size of the city of San Francisco and will act as a wildlife corridor connecting several wilderness areas.

Jan. 23, 2008, 1:22 p.m...."Today, most signs of the "Old West" have disappeared. Farms and ranches have been replaced with subdivisions and housing developments. And unique habitats like oak woodlands â;; considered to have the richest species abundance of any habitat in the state â;; have been reduced to a fraction of their original range.But not at San Felipe Ranch."....Way to go for the Nature Conservancy!
