Dec. 25, 2007, 4:26 a.m.For Years and Years, my kids and I have kept coins out of circulation for various reasons. We don't even know their value. We took a few to a reputable dealer and ended up not trusting him. If the red book says the coin is worth $500.00 and the dealer says a dime, then the next about the same if only serves to tick you off so here we sit with coins that are worth something, but can't get anything. I wish I could sell a few right now. I must agree, it is wonderful, that there are some people in this world that will give without the fact that they need a tax deduction.
