deathray: Good thing you responded we wouldn't want you called home early. ROFL I remeber when that clown said that. "If I don't receive X amount of dollars by a certain date God is going to take me." I was so hoping he would fall short of his goal. What else is new? These ravenous wolves in sheeps clothing are perfect for the ultra conservatives. They are both liars and thieves who prey on the simple and weak minded. Of course maybe he and Benny Hinn can get together and heal the ultra conservative party. Just lay hands on them and they will fall down. I would love to do that, lay hands on them and watch them fall down. Receive my healing as I lay hands on you my misled ones. But oh that is so wrong of me. Where is my forgiveness. They haven't asked for it yet. I would gladly forgive them if they could admit their wrongs.

      Phil Collins:(Genesis)

You see the face on the TV screen

      Coming at you every Sunday

See that face on the billboard

      That man is me

On the cover of the magazine

Theres no question why I'm smiling

You buy a piece of paradise

You buy a piece of me

Ill get you everything you wanted

Ill get you everything you need

Don't need to believe in hereafter

      Just believe in me

      Cos Jesus He knows me

      And He knows I'm right

I've been talking to Jesus all my life

      Oh yes He knows me

      And He knows I'm right

      And He's been telling me

      Everything is alright

      I believe in the family

With my ever loving wife beside me

But she don't know about my girlfriend

Or the man I met last night

      Do you believe in God

      Cos that's what I'm selling

And if you wanna get to heaven

      I'll see you right

You won't even have to leave your house

      Or get outta your chair

You don't even have to touch that dial

      Cos I'm everywhere

      And Jesus He knows me

      And He knows I'm right

      More..

You know its sad because when he first came out with the "I have to build this University or Hospital, I'm going to call you homeâ;¦" This was very disturbing to many who are genuine Christian, and frightening. If God did speak to him and tell him to do this, and he didn't, well, we all recall Sodom and Gomorrah? Or the flood? Noah and his children would have drowned like everyone else had Noah not built the Ark as he was told to do. Only God and Oral Roberts know the truth. Everything else in here is idle speculation, and glee on the part of those who hate Christians and God. You need to pray for the man to repent. Just like you he is one of God's children, and neither of us are perfect, including him. I just would not send him any money, would be my advice.

And this is a prime example of why i find televangelists and pretty much the whole evangelical movement to be a joke. It's all about politics and money to these people. Has nothing to do with god, or faith.. At least at the upper levels. I have no doubt many of its followers are very good people. They just support fakes who rob them blind...

I also agree that using money donated to you to buy Mercedes, big lavish houses, and putting diamond rings on every finger is definitely abuse. The person who donated that money didn't intend it to be used that way. When you work for God you're entitled to be rewarded but this is simply far too lavish. I don't condemn them because they have to stand before God and answer for it one day, but I also don't send them any money. My conscience there is clean. I didn't send money to the well known evangelist who used to spend hours begging for money, while both he and his wife had diamonds on every finger and their dog had an air-conditioned dog house and she had 400 pairs of shoes! But there is one man I do send money too. Every time I see him he has on the same suit, I know, because it has a stain on the right side, right below the second button. Nobody else notices but I do. I know that when I give him money it's used where he said it is, not on himself.

LordyLordy: You recall in the Bible where it says you will be known by your fruit? They are known by their fruit. Did Jesus even have his own home? Yes but not on this earth. You remeber his seed money statements? He still gives them on TBN. He and his student Benny Hinn. False doctrine is mentioned so many times in the Bible, to warn us. Still the unwary are caught up in the prosperity doctrine of these wolves. They are being aligned with the power of the Republican party in order to carry out their evil. Say what you will. Wrong is wrong and right is right. They are wrong. Jesus knew there were the ones you couldn't help they were to far gone. That is why he didn't answer King Herod. These charlatans hurt the body of Christ when they do their evil. We need to turn them out and disclaim their evil for what it is. Just as Paul said. You cannot allow false doctrine into the Church. That is how satan works. His are the lies of Gods truths. God is true.

I agree with you about many followers probably being very good people, but I sometimes wonder, would they follow and send $ to someone who didn't look all gussied up and plastic, with wigs, hair peices, make-up etc..would they listen to a person who lived VERY modestly and actually did spend almost all the $ the ministry recieved on helping others? and not 'administration' costs...I think that's what they call it-isn't it?? Makes me physically ill to see, especially on VERY limited incomes, elderly people sending their $ to these people, then you feel bad if you say anything about them being frauds when it's those people on TV that should be full of shame.

Aidenag: I think most of the followers are true Christians. I stopped attending the church my wife and I went to. They started preaching about the rightness of the war Bush started. Then the pastor started bragging about going to Washington and being included in Bushes prayer teams. Lets see that would be the same one that Ted "no I'm not gay" Haggard was the leader of. I don't care what Haggard does personally. But when you espouse one thing and do another. I find that reprehensible. I cannot accept the hypocisy of the leadership in both areas. I remain a faithful follower of Christ not Bush or his type.

True 'God' sells big time. An' as you pointed out ..."I have no doubt many of its followers are very good people. They just support fakes who rob them blind..." tis a cryin' shame how they, the fakes, profit from the pockets of the believers. ( by the way; dosen't God have a real attitude problem with the fakes scamming the flock in his, God's name?)

              FTA:

Mrs. Roberts - who is a member of the board of regents and is referred to as ORU's "first lady" on the university's Web site - frequently had cell-phone bills of more than $800 per month, with hundreds of text messages sent between 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. to "underage males who had been provided phones at university expense."))

A dirty old woman, also makes people come and do her daughters homework.

                Such an easy question --

"And here's to you, Mrs Robert's son...

Jesus loves you more than you will know

He's probably very displeased that the scam he spent his life building, is being bungled by it's inheritors...When Oral bit the dust, I doubt the Lord was the one who "took him home".

I don't believe in the burning fires of hell that will punish us for our evil, and apparently neither do alot of these people. Maybe the devil gives favortism to those who have all the cash. This is a good atrical but saddly those who support this ministry will never admit to being cheated.

I think they truly feel they are paying homage to their faith and 'God'.

Why would they believe they are paying homage to greedy people or in religious speak- evil people.

It's sad when you think about it, these well intentions by people who contribute $, could really go to good use.

On the other hand, if they all did all of a sudden know the truth, they are being duped by someone they put their faith in, how many would be so disillusioned that they would give up their faith entirely, some people actually need their faith, and some might be evil if they didn't have the threat of hell to make them walk the right path.

Evidently, they have lost sight of their real purpose, to live the Christian life. Seems that they have allowed the material world trappings to become first in their lives.

Scandles have always rocked churches over the centuries.

In my opinion, too many TV ministries pushing wealth and money!

In our country, it seems that every one of these so-called Mega-Ministries have become a grazing ground for all these greedy hypocrites who have been robbing from God's basket to perpetuate their sins!

"All over that campus, there are signs up that say, `And God said, build me a university, build it on my authority, and build it on the Holy Spirit,"' Oh, and skim a little off the top of the building fund to help the Mrs. with her Text Message Ministry helping young men (between the hours of 1 AM and 3AM) find their way in the darkness to the bosom of the Lord! Can I get an AHMEN brothers and sisters?!

Money has always been the root of the evil, even ( or especially) for this kind of "church specialists". It's a pity for the true Christians!! Jesus said: happy are the poors because they will be the first...The modern American church has forgotten this.Good Subject!
