    I thought our Swift Boaters did quite an effective job kickin dirt on the American military in general, and spittin on John Kerrys military service in particular.
    Wuz that harsh? You betcha!!
    But remeber, our candidate wuz a bona fide draft dodger!!
    Now, lots of folk feel that Republicans and Conservatives support the military. GW proved that wrong.
    We support the military in the same way we is Fiscal Conservatives! I think yall know whut I mean. Fact is, we support a craaaazy ideeologie that basically hates goverment - oh - an the Clintons nad Al Gore.
    I dare say that our ideeologie DEMANDS that we rid ourselfs of all soldiers who dont git behind the presdient and support his incompetence, his denial of many Iraq vet benefits, his hostility to Iraq vets, and support him unquestinably!!

      Weell, they DID actually. In fact, the Swift Boaters pointed out our celebration of Draft Dodgin!!
      We spit on that ole Kerrys service - liek yous is doin now - and defended Goerge Ws skippin out of his National Guard duty - which he used to skip out of his Vietnam service to country.
      Yup.
      There prolally aint a clearer message that we Conservatives aint much fer veterans. See, when we say we support the military, whut we is acktually sayin is we support Halliburton, KBR, Raytheon, - stuff liek that.
      How else do yall explain GWs and Cheneys efferts to reduce veterans benefits?

        S-u-r-e Bush gave raise to the military ... an average of around 2 percent per year.
        Maybe you can explain why Bush tried to significantly cut the 2004 military pay raise to 2 percent.
        Maybe you can explain why, in 2005, Bush tried to cut combat pay and family separation pay for the men and women serving overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan.
        And maybe you can explain why Bush has threatened to VETO a lousy 3.5% raise for the soldiers in the 2008 Defense budget.

        SEe, I might only have a degree in Creationsim, but even I ken read. And whut I been readin (between the lines - cause our newspaper gits its info direct from FOX) is that Conservatives consider the military to be just one more big goverment albatros.
        Thats why - in addition to yer examples above - they also tried to cut fundin fer head trama centers - to help treat Iraq vets with head trama.
        IN fact, seems us Conservatives been workin overtime fer 50 years dismantlin the GI Bill.
        And thats why we been workin hard at Privatizin the military! See - by privatizin the military, we ken git ourselfs a piece of that action - AND support the CEOs of them privatized war companies!!

        What is being cut as far as combat pay is combat pay for our troops stationed in Bosnia / Kosovo. Yep as March 2007our troops in Bosnia / Kosovo have been getting combat pay.

        The troops in Bosnia / Kosovo are rather FAR away from home, and just because they are not "in combat" - in other words, just because they are not at a HIGH risk of being blown up or shot, they should get LESS PAY?

        The swift boat veterans whole spiel was FALSE. Kerry "phonied" nothing. He SERVED and he fought in Vietnam and the GOVERNMENT awarded him medals for his service. NONE of the "swifties" save one even served anywhere NEAR him, and the one never witnessed ANY of the action for which Kerry was awarded the medals.

  Hubbard was a phony.
  After Kerry realized Hubbard was a phony, he separated himself from him. There are conflicting reports of how much contact Kerry had with Hubbard after Hubbard's true 'record' was revealed. It is documented that Kerry had a SERIOUS argument with Hubbard in front of many people and he questioned Hubbard's record and his credibility (July 1971).

The point here is that Kerry jumps in and spouts off without doing any research...He never checked out Hubbard because Hubbard was saying what he wanted to hear..he never checked out what Rush was saying either..he just jumped in..I have my opinions about Kerry..none of them show him in a good light..Just as people have the right to free speech people have the right to form their own opinions...
