>>Well, how about the fact that I listened to it yesterday WHILE the call was happening? No revisions there. It is as it was.

So was the mediamatters link that much different than the live version? IOW, did they post it as it was, or did they edit it at all?

Because, from the way it look, it was posted as it was broadcast.

Rush is an idiot and proves it everytime he dares open his stupid mouth. What kind of soldier was he?

I just wonder what kind of mentality it takes to listen to Rush or O'Reilly, all they do is preach hatred.

Hi n2n

I've been listening to Hannity on the radio lately and the funny thing is that him and Rush and Billo all say the same about anyone who doesn't agree with them, "all they do is preach hatred" LOL!.Now their hatred has come full circle,at first it was "anyone who speaks badly of our brave troops is an America hating traitor!!".

And now ,publically, windbag has shown himself to be an America hating traitor!!

the process they use is classic double speak

read the books they learned it from ...all cult classic sci fi stuff.

we are not dealing with idiots.

they have an agenda and are not afraid to push it anyplace they can.

avatar
Reply

Better than the hate speak that you trumpet. Are you claiming that you don't have an agenda and use your hate speak to push it?

I think your endoscope must be too high up up yer azzz to see the truth dude.

oh and the hate speech thing you got from Limbo

way past the expiration date...very old and boring.

Oh I do have an agenda

peace and prosperity

why does that scare you so much?

I do not listen to him. Typical of rads to think everyone with opposing views marches to the tune of Rush or somebody like him.

I talk about hate speech because I see it all the time on this site. Busch is stupid, dumb, evil, criminal. etc. ad nausium. His administration is evil, war mongers, criminal, corporate lackeys, etc. ad nausium.

Rads spend more time saying these things that are hate speech than discussing the issues nicely. Moveon.orgs add about General Betray US is an example of the hate speech radical organizations do. While there are practitioners on the right they have never caught up to the radicals.

Peace and prosperity are great concepts. My problem would be with how you want to achieve these things. I had the results of Johnson's ADC mashed into my face when I was a foster parent north of Detroit. It ripped apart the families of the poorest blacks. Best intentions in the world but it caused a lot of damage.

avatar
Reply

You may not listen to him, but you are defending him. And you're doing everything that you accuse the "rads" of doing. It's not just sites like Moveon.org that accuse Bush of being evil or criminal. Conservative sites like WorldNetDaily.com have done the same thing over Bush's support for amnesty and the North American Union. TRUE conservative Christian sites like Bushrevealed.com have accused Bush (with evidence) of worshiping at a Japanese Shinto shrine. Rush is a phony conservative and so are you.

E-

Wouldn't YOU describe someone who starts a war against a country that had no intention of attacking us, and giving no-bid contracts to war supply companies they thremselves are directly connected to, while not giving our troops sufficient equipment and care in the field or at home, firing the generals who tried to tell him how to actually win, and making torture of American citizens without trial legal (spitting on George Washington's anti-torture declaration,) just a little bit unsavory?

Is he really your hero?

Or ANY of his policies?

Really?

Well I wouldn't classify either Rush or Hannity as anything but big mouth NeoCons who have never donned an American Uniform. Why does anybody care what these bums say, they are both chickenhawks...if they had to serve in the military they would be the first to head for the Canadaian border.

avatar
Reply

>>Why does anybody care what these bums say

If they weren't so influential w/their non-stop hatred of anything not in lock-step w/the ultra-conservative fringe, there wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, too many take what they say as gospel without checking facts or even attempting to formulate their own opinions.

"what is the imperative for pulling out? What's in it for the United States to pull out? They can't -- I don't think they have an answer for that..."

That sums up what really disgusts me about these right wing screeching heads that have never served in the military and have no idea what war actually is.

HEY RUSH!! Here's my answer, though I doubt you will understand it, AMERICANS are DYING over there. That's the imperative you idiot! They are dying because people like you helped beat the drums promoting a pack of lies.

Why are there so many chickenhawks that have never fired a shot in anger willing to send our sons and daughters to their deaths and not even consider the deaths a viable reason to consider an alternative plan?

I am no longer active military, but I would love an opportunity to talk to this fat draft dodger face to face.

Yeah the Cons care more about the Iraqi then they do the American.

They're generally cowards who over-compensates by jumping on the war wagon. They have no qualms or conscience about sending others to fight their proxy wars.

Unfortunantly, he has a large number of listeners who believe his hate filled rhetoric.

Of course this is one of the results of the war crimminal Ronnie Rayguns administration. Attack radio, with no chance for those he denigrates to respond to his outlandish insults.

I wonder where all their hate will lead them.

I always thought it was telling - on the few occasions I listened to him - when he had an intelligent caller who disputed something he said. He was faster on his KILL switch than any radio jockey I've ever heard. He didn't even have the guts to discuss things with someone who could thing for him/herself.

His LARGE LISTENERSHIP is a product of the deregulation of radio..

MOST not all of the stations he is on are owned by Clear Channel Communications.. they allow him to sell his own commercials and he GIVES (he used to pay some stations to run his show), them the show for free.. THEY ALSO SELL SPOTS... PURE PROFIT...

what I do find amazing is that people actually subscribe to THE LIMBAUGH LETTER and RUSH 24/7... those are the people with questionable intelligence....

course he laughs all the way to the bank... his property tax alone on his mansion on the ocean is on the north side of 400K per year.. that's right 400,000 per year in property tax.... not counting what he pays on exwife Marta's place to keep her quiet... she also lives DIRECTLY ON THE ATLANTIC OCEAN...

Nice circle jerk ya got goin on here.

I guess the millions of people that listen to conservative talk radio are idiots while the 34 people that listen to liberal talk radio are brainiacs?

As an Army Infantry vet, I can tell you that you all are full of crap. Limbaugh is an egotistical windbag but at least he sees the importance of victory at all cost.

To leave Iraq, ever, is not an option.

Face facts. The natural resources of that region cannot fall into the hands of radical islamic forces. We simply cannot allow that to happen.

We are still in Korea, how many decades after the war? None of you spineless leftists realize that?

We are still in Germany. Still have forces in Bosnia. Still have forces in East Africa. We cannot afford to leave any of these strategic areas...what makes you think that leaving Iraq is even an option?

You all need a reality check.

Even if Hillary is elected, which is entirely likely, she would do no different.

avatar
Reply

Nice. You are so classy. It just makes me want to listen to you all day.

Well, maybe not all of the millions that listen to talk radio are idiots, but Rush Limbaugh certainly is.

As a Navy vet, I can tell you and Rush that you are full of crap. Victory at all costs is not what we're doing here. We're trying to do victory on the cheap. If we were fighting 'at all costs' this thing would have been over by now.

To not leave Iraq is retarded.

Face facts, if the conservatives in Congress and the business interests had not fought so hard against coming up with alternative fuels when CARTER wanted to do it, right now we could tell the whole Middle East to dry up and blow away. We wouldn't care.

Yeah, I know we're still in Korea. Why haven't we invaded those supporters of terrorism? Oh, yeah, they have the Bomb. I wonder why Iran wants one?

We can get out of Germany any time.

Pull your head out.

Carter? Are you kidding me?

Don't bothing opening a history book!

Carter was the #1 impetus for the rise of radicalized Islam!

And that jackass STILL can't leave it alone!

He would have us all speaking Farsi if he got his way!

I find it hard to believe that any Navy vet would be propping up Carter!

I have never even HEARD of such a thing in my life!

You are funny though.

It was a good laugh. Give ya that.

Recently Jimmy Carter was on television, denouncing President Bush's policies in Iraq. I find this highly ironic, because Jimmy Carter and his liberal advisers helped the Ayatollah Khomeini to come to power in Iran a quarter of a century ago. Thus they gave radical Islam control of its first major state. How this happened is worth recalling, because from Carter's failure there's a valuable lesson to be learned in Iraq.

And all you can talk about is alternative fuels?!?!

Wow.

avatar
Reply

4mogger: Just to let you know somethings. Jimmy Carter is the most Christian President we have had in quite some time. Source Christian conservative radio. While they stated he was one of the worst Presidents they acknowledged him as being the most Christian. Yes I listen to the station every day. It is the only station that quotes scripture daily where I live. I don't always agree with them as they seem to think Reagan was a good president. So by the far right way of thinking Carter should have been the best President ever. Most Christian hardest working President in decades. But he didn't fall into the greed game. He inherited an economy on the brink of depression. Carter was hated by the right because he didn't play their game. Reagan ,GW , Nixon. All superficial greedy harlots. By the way I served in Nam so am I a coward too?

Go back and read a history book or five, then come talk to me. Your view of history is almost as warped as Rush Limbaugh's brain.

avatar
Reply

The only thing Carter did to 'help' the Ayatollah was to back the western reforms of the Shah. The 'White Revolution'.

The Ayatollah wrote a very popular book, came out of exile, and overthrew the Shah as a result of fundamentalist Muslim reaction to the US/Israel-friendly reforms the Shah was undertaking.

To try and lay that at Carter's feet is complete BS.

avatar

It's called lack of education. Maybe he should go to college and take some classes from all of those liberal professors.

4mogger, I thought your argument for being there was fuel?

avatar
Reply

Hey, I like a couple of things Reagan did too. Like a typical conservative you focus on the one thing where you got your talking points and leave the rest of it alone.

Did anything I wrote suggest I supported Carter? I do, but nothing I wrote suggested that. I merely used his name to provide a time frame, but you are too busy jumping on your soapbox to recognize that. Further, you have to go after Carter because everything I wrote was right and you know it.

avatar
Reply

You are ridiculous in your assertions of what happened under Carter. The alternative fuels measure was pushed through. Nasa was mandated to do most of the work. I was working on a contract that our company had with NASA. I climbed up into the nacelles of many wind turbines.

You rewrite history.

avatar
Reply

What actually happened and what was mandated are two utterly different things. What Carter actually proposed (along with a few Democrats and Republicans) was trying to find alternative sources for energy along with tax credits for things like wind turbines and solar. However, once Carter lost and the price of fuel came down Reagan promptly gutted most of those programs with the assistance of Congress. I'm not re-writing history, I'm just telling it like it is.

avatar
Reply

---Don't bothing opening a history book!

I see you've taken this message to heart. Hate to burst your bubble but radical Islam started long before Carter withdrew US support for one of the most brutal dictator in the ME. Radical Isalm grew largely because of the US intervention in overturning a valid democratic election in Iran and installing the Shah. It had nothing to do with Carter. I know the oil companies all lost lots of money because of Carter. That is the main reason the campaign to discredit every and anything President Carter ever does continues.

You too are funny.

But I'm afraid it's nothing to laugh about.

avatar
Reply

Not to mention asking why we haven't invaded Sudan, Myanmar (Burma), China, and all the other countries "supporting" terrorism or oppressing their people?

Typical spew from know-nothing neocons!

avatar
Reply

Alternative fuels.

My work caused me to be involved with NASA. They were mandated to look into alternate fuels under Carter. All the money spend drew the conclusion that the price of fuel would have to go several times higher in order to be efficient. It still hasn't reached that hight. The conservatives were right but Carter did it anyway. Typical of rads to rewrite history.

avatar
Reply

You know that's hilarious, right? If what you're suggesting were true then ethanol production wouldn't be one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy.

I'll look into it more, because my memory isn't what it used to be and I was only 8 when Carter left office, but I'm pretty sure there's more to it than that.

avatar
Reply

Endoscopy-

Don't be so generous giving credits to the "rads" for revisionism.

Remember for months "Saddam Hussein is responsible for 9-11." And when proved wrong the response was "Never said that."

Or all the Saudi involvement swept under the table because of the Saudi Arabian-Neocon alliance through the oil corporations.

Or that the Holocaust never happened. No "lib bias" can match that. Don't be so modest.

Sorry but the ultra-conservatives WIN the prize for the most re-writing of history.
