>>When does taking prescribed pain pills become illegal drugs.

When you have multiple prescriptions in multiple people's names, or when you purchase on the black market. See

http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/10/10/rush.limb...

which says:

"Law enforcement sources said last week that Limbaugh's name had come up during an investigation into a black market drug ring in Palm Beach County, Florida....were looking into the illegal sale of ... OxyContin and hydrocodone.

"Limbaugh ... was named by sources as a possible buyer. He was not the focus of the investigation, according to the sources."

>>That is the typical rad and lib point of view with just about everyone they disagree with

Wrong. But Rush is an idiot unto himself - especially in this instance.

>>He in an offhand comment called some people "phony soldiers" and you convert this into this idea

He denigrated people who VOLUNTEERED and RISKED THEIR LIVES simply for disagreeing w/him.

"Real soldiers love to kill people. " "they are psychopathic killers"

Lets just shut down the military and everyone will just leave us alone right? Chaimberlain thought that. He came home from Germany saying peace in our time. Hitler just turned the other way and was peaceful right?

Why can't you look at history and believe that men in uniform believe they are committed to protect us from the Hitlers of the world? The military academies have an honor code that all students must live up to. Look it up and try to live up to that standard.

avatar
Reply

like the Nazi honor code..I was only doing what I was told..

Your "points are pointless"..We're talking about a soldier's

American right to have an opinion..

That comment is un-American and very scary. Soldiers are THERE and have a better idea of what goes on then some fat idiot trying to trivialize their right to think..

avatar
Reply

You obviously do not understand the Honor code that the military academies have. Where do you think the origin of the soldiers code comes from. The officers trained under the code give it to the men who serve under them. They don't hold the men to the full code but they are taught it. One of the parts is to be truthful at all times. When in combat it is imperative that anybody who reports in can be believed.

I was responding to Shankari25 who states soldiers are "psychopathic killers". I find his comment abhorrent. I find your comparing our military code of honor to the Nazis abhorrent as well.

Many people on this site basically have said that our soldiers are wanton killers in a variety of ways. Are you one of these?

avatar
Reply

So now you're a computer expert AND a military code expert?

I'll wait till you book comes out!!!

In the meantime, your comments appear to support supression of opinion, and in THIS country, THAT is un-America..

Of course our soldiers are imperfect Patriots and we must support them with our thoughts, AND with full medical care.

They certainly are NOT vicious killers, but they do have directives to "kill".

Telling them that they can have no right to an opinion is wrong.

It worked for the Nazis, though!

avatar
Reply

I have worked with computers for over 30 years.

The military academies Honor Code is public record and I have read it and heard discussions about it. Did you bother to look it up.

"your comments appear to support suppression of opinion"

You are doing what rads like to do. Out of the blue assign ideas that were never stated by the person. I am all for the free expression of IDEAS. I object to what you did in this post. Put words into my mouth I didn't speak. I have objected to name calling and hate speech.

"It worked for the Nazis, though!"

This is what I am talking about. Implying that I am a Nazi because you read into what I stated things that are not there. Just look at the ratings you got from your lib and rad pals for lying about what I said.

avatar
Reply

Again, the method was used by Nazis, whether you want to admit it or not.

Supporting the method of telling the military to shut up and follow orders does not make you a Nazi. It makes you a supporter of miltary suppression. If you make French toast it does not make you French, but it's still French toast.

Let's not keep this distraction of accusations of name calling when we are really trying to talk about the METHOD..NOT you!

At this point I AM going to imply that you have a comprehension problem, because I nowhere implied that you wear swastikas, have a pair of marching boots in your closet, hate Jews, deny the Holocaust or support Hitler.

Just so you know, if one is accused of THOSE things, then they are being accused of being a Nazi.OK?

Now, back where we all want to be: On the subject.

Telling the military to shut up and do your job despite any conflicts in conscience is what the Nazis did.

If you support that, as does Rush, you are wrong, but still not a Nazi.

Sarcasm went sliding right by you I see. OR rather you identified it as such and decided to ignore it was sarcasm since so you could paint people in the light you want to use for, odd I thought you commented on this a few posts back, discrediting the messenger. How odd.

avatar
Reply

And I read Shankari25's comment as sarcasm - as Rush saying that the only rights that the soldiers have that fought in Iraq were to "shut up & sing" (or in this case "kill").

well, there is much evidence that our soldiers are not living up to your standards AND much evidence that one of the major sources of that failure is their political leaders.

Testimony in Court-Martial Describes a Sniper Squad Pressed to Raise Body Count

A U.S. soldier testified Thursday that he was ordered to shoot an unarmed Iraqi man, then his sergeant, from North Carolina, laughed and told the trooper to finish the job as the man convulsed on the ground...

And of course then there are our terror attacks (bombings of civilians).

U.S. Secret Air War Pulverizes Afghanistan and Iraq

..The result of the stepped up air war, according to the London-based organization Iraq Body Count, is an increase in civilian casualties. A Lancet study of "excess deaths" caused by the Iraq war found that air attacks were responsible for 13% of the deaths -- 76,000 as of June 2006 -- and that 50% of the deaths of children under 15 were caused by air strikes....

..Chaimberlain thought that. He came home from Germany saying peace in our time...

..they are committed to protect us from the Hitlers of the world?

Saddam was no Hitler(well maybe a wananabe) He could not hold Kuwait and his army was never rebuilt after being decimated by the US led coalition forces.

And Ossama, well he is even less a Hitler than Saddam. The only reason his 19 terrorism hit us is because the Bush Administration was asleep at the wheel. (Okay they weren't really asleep but they were pushing the Missile Defense plans, and ignoring the terrorist threat from afghanistan, that was all we needed to keep us safe from rouge nations)

But how many soldier fail to live up to those same standards? The power to kill is a very great power, and due care should be taken to ensure that the recipients are up to hte moral dilemmas that come with it.

I've been waiting for this gutless windbag to just say it in plain english...neocons don't love the military and dont love America.I hope this video reaches the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan...maybe Rush wants to start a civil war within the military to rid itself of the "phony soldiers".

Nah!...I think the troops would just see what this guy for what he really is.

I started watching Rush on tv when Clinton first took office, the theme of his show every day was "America Held Hostage...Day 4"...calling the President a kidnapper, and now all we hear is "Hillary called a general a liar".

One day,Rush talked about his resume...he was raised in a family of lawyers, his two jobs before getting his propaganda show were...used car salesman and public relations. In other words...a professional liar raised by professional liars.

mntnman: Rush is a political stooge whose only value is to pump up hatred of truth. He has been and will continue to be a joke to those who know the truth. If he were to face these so called phony soldiers face to face he would ****** his tightie whities. I personally would love to face off with the coward who pops pain pills to keep himself stupid enough to continure his rant. He wouldn't last though the truth would win out. Cowards run and die instead of taking their only chance of survival. Face up to your enemy don't give him your back for a target. Iraq is not our enemy we made them our enemy just like in Nam. Our enemy is within the borders of the U.S. It is those who want to take our rights and freedoms away. Rush is an enemy of the freedom loving Americans. Stop Nazi America. Vote for freedom and your rights.

You libs are so full of ****** your eyes are brown. The New York times was bent over by MoveOn and allowed to put in an add that was totally against New York Times Policy, even at a 60% discount. The add put down and called our military traders. Why dont you think about that before you start trying to be logical?

WE Christian Conservatives need to always suppor t Presdient Bush!!

Shure, we know hes a draft dodger who thought it wuz better to let some other poor 'phoney soldier' take his place in Vietnam - while he went off to play politics with dad.

And his disliek of the military has been reflected in an on-goin kinda way. YOu know, the way he always puts our Christian Conservative ideeologie ahead of whuts right by our AMerican soldiers!

I still remember Donnie Rumsfeld statin - 'You go into war with whut ya got - not with whut you WISH you had'.

Im OK with GW, though. We Christian Conseervatives hates goverment. Always did, always will.

And you know, the military is a branch of goverment. Maybe thats why GW has been privatizin the military! He never lieked servin, and Im guessin he dont much liek soldiers - phoney or real - whutever that means.

(Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel).

Truth is the MoveOn add did not call our military betrayers.

I also think it's true that the General did not lie. He told the truth when he said that the military objectives are largely being met. Since it is our military mostly that is meeting it's goals and not the Iraqis, I beleive him. He didn't say the Iraqi political objectives were being met and everybody knows (except the rabid Rush-Dem-haters) there is no military solution to the Iraq situation.

I think the ad was in bad taste, but to each his own.

The ad called ONE, and ONLY one, sycophantic member of our military a liar. And, if you've been watching at all, you'd realize the ad was right.

When Patraeus' said he wrote his testimony, then that testimony basically mimicked Bush in every aspect, that in itself says that he's completely dishonest.

Maybe you should read the ad before you make stupid comments like that.

This comment right here points out exactly what his agenda is!

"LIMBAUGH: This is the United States of America at war with Islamofascists.

What the F@@K is a "Islamofascist" ? Well folks!

Islamofascism is a controversial neologism suggesting an association of the ideological or operational characteristics of certain modern Islamist movements with European fascist movements of the early 20th century, neofascist movements, or totalitarianism.

The word is included in the New Oxford American Dictionary, defining it as "a controversial term equating some modern Islamic movements with the European fascist movements of the early twentieth century". Critics of the term argue that associating the religion of Islam with fascism is offensive and inaccurate.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamofascism

avatar
Reply

Lets break the terms down. Islamo meaning Islamic in origin. Fascist or Nazi, both are used. In WW2 the two European parts of the axis were Germany - Nazi, and Italy - Fascist. These two countries caused the deaths of millions of people while trying to others subject to them. That attribute of those concepts are what the people are reffering to. The Muslim hate mongers wanting to kill and dominate are about 10% of the total Muslim population. A smaller group carries this out. Those terrorists who kill more Moslems than any other group have this term applied to them. It is another way of saying Islamic who kill trying to dominate. Thats a mouthful.

Does that make it simple enough to get through to you.

while trying to subjugate others to them.

Sorry about that. sometimes me fingers have a life of their own.

What's great is we don't have to call Christian based fascism Christo-fascism because everyone already knows that it is.

One line Hitler used to defend the ethnic cleansing holocaust to the German people was "We are finishing Christ's work..."

Actually "islamofascist" was concocted by zioncon traitors in america who want us to keep dying in the mideast for zionist crimes against humanity.

Why Does Norman Podhoretz Hate America?

by Michael Scheuer

World War IV: The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism

Norman Podhoretz

Doubleday, 2007

240 pp.

Norman Podhoretz's new book, World War IV: The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism, is a hate-filled, anti-American book of the first order. Podhoretz hates every American who does not support the neoconservatives' views, the foreign policy they have devised, and the military and national security disasters to which they are leading America. Patrick Buchanan, Andrew J. Bacevich, Sir John Keegan, Brent Scowcroft, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Samuel Huntington, Francis Fukuyama, and many others are all targets of Podhoretz. These men are variously characterized as anti-Semites...

.. And who are the heroes? Why, Podhoretz and the familiar roster of Israel-firsters: Paul Wolfowitz, R. James Woolsey, Charles Krauthammer, Douglas Feith, Victor Davis Hanson, John R. Bolton, Joseph Lieberman, Richard Perle, Robert Kagan, Max Boot, Steve Emerson, Daniel Pipes, Michael Rubin, Michael Ledeen, Kenneth Adelman, Frank Gaffney, and a few others who have battled so long and hard to ensure that America fights an endless war against Muslims in Israel's defense.

Podhoretz and his chums are responsible for the lethal mess America now faces in the Muslim world - they have done more than any other group â;; Hamas and Hezbollah included â;; to undermine Israel. Their influence and arrogance has been an unmitigated and accelerating disaster for the two nations they claim to love most. I will leave it to readers to decide which country they obviously love best, but I bet you can guess ..

One swell Rush bit was when people were a little outraged about Trent Lott spending time in congress going on and on with a tribute to Strom "Segrgation Forever" Thurmond and how he jumped on those who thought that might not be the best use of congress' time.

His response was archetype fascist: "...there is a war on...the terrorists have killed and will kill again...we just don't have time for this." And then some name-calling and liberal bashing...

There was time for a congressional tribute to a racist but "no time" to ask why.

You gotta admire his slick evil.
