Hitler Drugged Soldiers

Do No Evil – On May 20, 1940, the 22-year-old soldier wrote to his family:Perhaps you could get me some more Pervitin so that I can have a backup supply?" After two months he wrote again: "If at all possible, please send me some more Pervitin. "Pervitin, a stimulant commonly known as speed today, was the German army's wonder drug."

WOW !!! Hitler was the worst piece of garbage to infect this planet. We all knew that. I guess this is just one more evil in the devil's cap!

Napolean said, "An army run on its stomach." Looks like Hitler found a bit of methamphetamines will motivate them to run (bounce off the walls) even when food runs short.

Wrong. The drug described in the article is amphetamine. The methamphetamine derivative was developed seperately in Japan, as an aid to Kamikaze pilots.

BTW, what do you think was in the shots given to Captain America?

Adolph Hitler threatened to kill those who "engage(d) in criminal acts as a result of alcohol abuse"? What an honorable thing to do Mr. Hitler.

I wonder if this practice of dispensing stimulants is only applicable to Hitler's army? And almost all armies have relied on alcohol and other drugs. I know in Vietnam, illegal drugs were prevalent and easily obtained. My father told me during the Korean War, the Chinese and North Koreans were on opiates. But I guess if you really wanted a fearsome army, you could supply them with PCP or something similar.

Hypnotics drugs are all the rage now. With the success of MAOI drugs and SSRI drugs in the commercial marketplace, the Army is now funding research to find drugs which might

PREVENT POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER BEFORE IT HAPPENS

in other words, drugs that make it easier to kill, easier to forget, and to feel no guilt or fear.

God Bless America.

We hear more about Adolph Hitler now than we did 5 years after World War II ended. In fact, it's almost like a snowball rolling downhill...with no end in sight. When it comes to evil, Adolph Hitler can't hold a candle to Josef Stalin. Stalin, dictator of Russia, was responsible for the deaths of twenty million (20,000,000) Russians, Germans, and Poles, (mostly Christians) but nobody ever mentions him. STALIN'S WAR OF EXTERMINATION is a book about this. Also GULAG--a huge, coffee table book of pictures of the Russian gulags (slave camps) is a testimony in pictures to the overwhelming brutality carried out during the 80 years that Communism ruled Russia. Yet the average American knows little or nothing about this holocaust. And probably doesn't even care.

It seems as you look through history, the winners often write the books. And as it was the Russians came out on top with the rest of the world so they kept their skeletons out of the books.

Agree, a lot of revisional history abounds. The only thing I fathom is how a Georgian of humble means could have ever become such a powerful leader in the land of the czars. Afterall he became the Russian dictator less than 10 years after the fall of the Romanoffs. Logically a position that should historically have gone to a Russian.

Unless they went psycho and turned on themselves. I love watching COPS on TV when they have people under the influence. Weed smokers are relaxed, boozers are combative, speed users are hyper, paint huffers are zombies. Occasionaly they have a freaked out wildman. I saw one show where the dude was laying in the middle of the street in the felony position without clothes. When the cops walked up to him and started asking him questions. He was freaked out and begged them to tell the cops down the street not to shoot him. Another dude also going clothing optional was trying to excape a building and was doing pretty well against around 8 officers. I am guessing those were the PCP users. Inhuman strength, shrugs off tasers, but too damn crazy to follow orders. Maybe if you take the hardcore criminals from prison and toss their ass out of an airplane over an enemy city with a big sack of PCP they could be an effective terror weapon.

I think there was a movie about zombies being trained as war weapons. Didn't seem like a good idea.

I haven't seen any of this on the Hitler channel, I mean the History channel.

What got to me was the way they just made it seem normal to do that to your own soldiers. As if making them an addict to something that is not only harmful physiclly but mentally as well. Does not concern them. Just go out and kill for us, we will take care of you, we know what is best for you. Same old garbage the soldiers pay for the misguided logic of the leaders. Did you see the part about the guy and the conservative Democratic Christian party. That does not go hand in hand with these things. But then again ther are those who will call themselves Christians to lead the sheep astray.

I'm not taking up for Adolf Hitler, but let's face it the most evil dictator in recent history was Josef Stalin. Mao Tse Tung comes in a close second. Unfortunately, the media and Hollywood are much more sympathetic to Communist monsters than Nazi monsters.......to the point of being dishonest when telling of Russian or Chinese atrocities.

After the so-called "Gulf War" (during the reign of George Bush, Sr.,) some reports came out that American pilots were given "uppers" to keep them flying their "bomb Iraq" missions. Drug use in war time is certainly not peculiar to the Germans during WWII. During WWII, cigarette companies often supplied our troops with free cigarettes. But if you want to read about the most horrendous supplying of drugs, try reading about the "Opium Wars" when Britain supplied the Chinese with opium in order to gain a toehold there. (It didn't work, but it is a blot on British history that they would prefer to forget.)
