Benchmarks, invalid progress reports, passing on the blame to Maliki and his corrupt government, lying assertions of how things are improving in Iraq, the non-stop shell game White House & Congress are playing with us...O what fools we're made out to be! Is it so difficult to see? The US is in Iraq for the duration, and that means indefinitely.

Let's just stay in Iraq for another 60 or 70 years. When the last of their oil is gone, we can ransack their neighbors until their oil is gone. We have changed reasons why we are there more often than a nursery full of infants changes diapers, and this war smells as good. Ugh, it is time to get out of Iraq YESTERDAY! Their people do not want us there, and more polls are showing our people do not want us there.

Our military leaders need to recognize that our mission, according to the Commander in Chief, is accomplished. Come home soldiers, come home.

Our occupation definitely seems to be going nowhere. The current government in Iraq is accomplishing nothing. Until they make any progress we are just spinning our wheels. (and wasting our military)

What was the point of the surge? Was it to get insurgency under control and turn the country over to Iraqi's government? So they're sayin the surge worked. OOOOOk. Now what? Well, now they're sayin the extra surge troops can come home......in a year. OOOOOOk. Soooo, next summer we'll be at the same troop levels before the surge. And this means what? We've succeeded? At what? At deflecting from the fact that they're saying we're back to square one.....in a year? Then what? Another surge? All righty then. I guess the next move is for me to congratulate the moron administration for succeeding at nothing? They should take a deep breath and hold it, until I get back to them.

well, maybe, for some, it is a huge success. more lives lost, more of our tax money taken and given to weapons makers and contractors, more power accumulated in the executive branch.

success for some, big loss for the rest of us. seems to be the norm with D.C.

And nowhere is there anyone in Congress standing up to say, "let us impeach this entire cabal." Dennis Kucinich has tried for a Cheney impeachment. But what is that. We need the whole dang bunch to be gone. We need a Congress that pays more attention to the people they are supposed to represent than their corporate masters and campaign coffers.

The whole lot of them make me feel frustrated. Is there no one with any sense in DC? Do none of them have calculators? Do they not realize that if you have only Two Dollars, you cannot spend Five? Do they care so little for the PEOPLE that they will send our sons and daughters to Iraq as long as the military industrial complex continues with the campaign contributions.

AAGGGHH! A Pox Upon Them ALL!

Maybe, we just don't understand what success means in the neocon lexicon. Maybe, success means do more of what you've been doing instead of less.

Spend more money we don't have, send more troops, threaten more of the Middle East, and tell more lies. This whole thing has snowballed into a monster that can no longer be controlled.

You do have a fixation on the word "commie" as being some kind of ultimate slur, no matter what the dialogue might be.

Of all the problems that Iraq has, the threat of a communist takeover is not particularly high on the list.

Face it SourKraut, the political objective are not being meet by the Iraq government. The only success betrayus is having is with US military operations. Iraq has been in a civil war for over 4 years now. Iraq is broken and all of the kings horses will not put it back together again. Let the Iraqi decide what's best for themselves

The republican's have been so fiscally irresponsible with this war, it will be over when our economy can't pay for it anymore. Once all of our taxes are going to paying off debt and the defense budget. Why are neocon so stupid - they hate taxes but are willing to pay 50cents on each tax dollar to the military and go into debt for a war against a country that didn't attack us.

Talk about our Democratic-led congress being on top of the ball...they're complaining bitterly about Maliki and his cohorts in Iraq not being able to establish a workable democracy in the two years they alloted him, yet, these same wunderkinds can't take care of their own business here. They can't agree on ANYTHING except the hate-Bush rhetoric and how to establish new taxes.

Got a clue for them. Do something good for the country, not necessarily your party.

Forget about the big bad Bush that 'stole' your power. You have the power now, as you had for 44 years straight when you didn't do anything either. Grow up. Represent your people.

Maliki has a much better record than our congress.

Should we pull the troops out of America if our elected officials can't do their jobs?

Here's a place to start: one of the jobs mandated to the federal government is the protection of our borders. Why isn't it being done? Should congress be fired for not doing their job?

Compared to the republican lead congress that we had, a do-nothing congress is a HUGE improvement.

Why do you worry about taxes, when Helicopter Ben is running the printing presses at full speed? Too lazy to go outside and pick up the $100 bills raining from the skies?

Congress may suck, but they suck less than the Iraqi parliament.

Yes, we should pull the troops out of America, because they are not doing their job, in fact they are doing the exact opposite. Congress needs to fired, yes, and then hung - along with a couple of thousand other traitors in the government and the Federal Reserve. That might begin to straighten things out.

Here is what I have learned about causing dysfunction. It gives more situations of trouble to handle and you are so busy with handling that. That you can't get to what you need to handle. That is the thing the engineer of dysfunction intended. America is becoming dysfunctional. Need to get the engineer.
