Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta confirms testimony that he gave to the 9/11 Commission, which was omitted from the report-- that Dick Cheney was in a bunker giving a stand-down order prior to the attack on the Pentagon. He also reveals that Lynn Cheney was in the PEOC bunker, and that he suspected the Shanksville plane was shot down.

This changes everything. It looks momentous. He gave this testimony under oath. Why would he give false testimony about it? And why have others presented conflicting testimony?
Note that Cheney did not testify under oath before the 911 Commission. Why did he refuse to testify under oath? He appeared, jointly with the president -- and that too was not the normal way to do it. They refused to testify under oath, as everyone else had to before the Commission.
Why is this? This, combined with discrepancies in when Cheney was where, looks very odd. Doesn't it?

The term is executive privilege and the concept has been upheld by the Supreme Court.
Here is a list of cases, sometimes the Executive wins sometimes it loses, but the outcome is dependent on the ruling of the Supreme Court:
1. (1796) Washington refused to hand over document concerning the Jay treaty. He won
2. (1807) Jefferson and Burr - Jefferson refused to turn over private letters concerning Burr until compelled to do so by the Supreme Court - he complied.
3. (1954) Army-McCarthy hearings - President Eisenhower refused to turn over documents to the McCarthy hearing. Eisenhower won
4. (1974) US vs Nixon. Dependent on your outlook Nixon lost or a possible tie.
5. (1998) Clinton in the Lewinsky case. Again dependent on your outlook Clinton lost or possible tie because he negotiated terms of his testimony.
If the issue involves national security the court tends to side with the executive branch and not Netscape contributors. Bring on the negative votes.

Im sure it dont help none that hes a megalomanic. Im thinkin that his megalomania is what causes his constant lying and excessive secrecy.
I hear tell he wont allow anyone to review his records cause hes not part of the exectutive branch a goverment -even though he works in the exectutive offices - with the president.

It is vary common for the president and the vice-president not to testify on or off oath to the congress. This is a standing practice that goes back to Washington and is done to protect the separation of powers that each branch has.
Yes it looks odd. It looks like a man sitting on ground zero waiting for the blast to go off NOT LOOKING AT HIS WATCH! Jest how much time are we talking about?

I hope for sure that it's soon. There's too many people out there who are aware of this information but have the "I'm only one person...I can't possibly make a difference." attitude. Every person makes a big difference. I firmly believe things will change a lot once LC: Final Cut is released nation-wide.

You make a very good point, Obaku. They even had a few minutes after the first plane hit WTC; controllers must have seen where the second plane was going. They probably could have intercepted it, although it might have been over NYC by the time they could get to it.
Certainly it would not be an easy decision. Nevertheless, by the time the scenario in the story developed, Cheney clearly knew what was happening; and he had very good reason to believe the plane was headed for either the WH or Pentagon. The decision he had to make--was clearly justified in making--was obvious; yet he didn't change the orders. Why?

I'm in an adult education program and have decided to use all of the truther's information I can find to do papers and presentations on. This just adds another citation to my work. I am going to just keep writing and presenting on this stuff and let others make up their own minds about what they think it all means. To me...it is very clear that information is being suppressed and/or spun and/or flat out lied about. There are way too many conflicting stories, photos, videos, testimony, and evidence to keep believing that certain government officials weren't privy to information and events before they actually took place. Call me a kook if you want, but my intellect and critical thinking far outweigh my ability to blow this off as coincidental.

Why do you need a detailed explaination if you've already made up your mind it's not true? How can you say it is or isn't??? were you there before, during and after? you had the whole inside scoop?
I don't have any idea if it's true or not, that's why I think any questions people have, are valid. People who say it is or isn't true 100% are partly responsible for the reasons cover ups can happen- would anyone like to be involved in that?
you can't deny the house is full of liars, I think there should be MANY questions asked, just because one asks questions, doesn't mean they are twoofers,that you believe or don't believe something or they are unpatriotic or any other negative thing.
